WRITERS’ ROUND UP!
BY RESIDENT AND JUNIOR EDITOR HANNAH CORBITT THIS FEATURE SPONSORED BY BEANTREE LEARNING CHANTILLY

The Stroll Junior Writers got together at the Willowsford Lodge Boat House for a variety of activities for their monthly meeting in February. The get-together started off with sharpening their interviewing skills with an icebreaker called: The Ultimate Question. The writers came up with a question that would elicit interesting, unique, or informative responses so that they would continue to learn and improve as reporters for Stroll. Then, the groups broke off into stations of three: brainstorming ideas and decorating chefs’ hats, practicing their photography skills, and making some deliciously fluffy Belgian waffles from scratch with the great help of Chef Meagan!

Meagan Morrison is a personal chef whose talents are available for meal prep, cooking lessons, birthday parties, catering drops, and more. Her company, Palate Sensations, provides a wide variety of services, cuisine and events. We’re so glad Chef Meagan was able to help us stir up some fun at our meeting! Be sure to check out her official chef socials below, and scan the code to get her recipe for scratch-made Belgian Waffles!
