 Looking to channel your creative energy? Why not focus your efforts on preparation for the 4th of July parade? The annual extravaganza is right around the corner! Whether you plan to ride a bike or march as part of a neighborhood group, a family group, or a local civic organization, the Haddonfield Celebrations Association wants you to get in on the action. Each child who takes part in the parade will receive a participation ribbon. Registration for the parade will be held on Thu Jul 4, behind the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield (20 Kings Hwy E), between 8:30 and 9:30am. Don’t be late! The judges will evaluate family groups, neighborhood groups, and organization groups during the registration period. Ribbons for all child participants will be given out at registration or during line-up. Antique auto entrants should report to the antique auto registration table shortly after 10am. For further information about auto entries, call Frank Houston at 428-2702. The parade will step off at 10am. Remember, to avoid the injury of spectators, the throwing of candy and prizes during the parade is prohibited. Children riding bikes, tricycles, and Big Wheels must wear helmets. Children may not used motorized or battery-operated vehicles unless carefully supervised by an adult. Make sure that events such as the Halloween Parade, the Christmas Tree Lighting, and the Independence Day activities (including those fabulous fireworks!) remain free to the public. Those who wish to make monetary donations to the Celebrations Association, are encouraged to do so by sending checks to PO Box 15, Haddonfield. Credit card donations may also be made at the Haddonfield Information Center at 2 Kings Court. In the event of rain, the parade will be canceled. 215-7253
