The Haddonfield/Philadelphia Area Cochlear Implant Support Group will meet on Tue Apr 17 from 6 to 8:30pm. The support group is open to those who have implants, those considering surgery, and support persons. The meeting will commence with a pizza social at 6pm. Dana Apruzzese, a CaptionCall outreach manager at Sorenson Communications, will provide a demonstration and overview of the CaptionCall phone during the pizza social in the Parish Hall. From 7 to 8:30pm, Dr Gregory Artz, an assistant professor of Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at Thomas Jefferson Dust off your bowling ball and start practicing your hook! Events will start at 9am; registration will begin at 8am. The rain-or-shine festival of fitness will take place on the elementary school’s grounds (501 Redman Ave, Haddonfield) and promises fun for every member of the family. Consider becoming a sponsor! The 5K is the school’s second largest fundraiser of the year. This year, proceeds will support technology upgrades in the school’s classrooms. In addition, a portion of funds will be donated to SOAR, an after-school enrichment program for children in Camden NJ.
