Principal’s Message

I am pleased to present West Moreton Anglican College’s Strategic Plan (2025-2029), the culmination of many months of work by the Executive Leadership Team, College Council and our wider community.

This plan continues our commitment to taking a longer-term view to remain relevant and prepare our students for whatever the future holds.

This document focuses on the next five years of development for our College. It is the commitment we make to our community to continue to look to the future with optimism and aspiration as we prepare our students for whatever the future may hold.

This plan also encapsulates the final phase of the planning process that started in 2016, with a three-stage process to take a long-term view to remain relevant and prepare our students for an uncertain future. This final phase challenges our College to be a “Global Leader”, a school that is fully connected to global best practices in teaching and learning.

Within this plan, our overarching challenge is to develop and implement best practice frameworks and structures to support teaching and learning, to position our College as a leader for student and staff development and achievement.

Our College will continue to work to strengthen our reputation as the leading school of choice for families in Ipswich and western Brisbane.

The four strategic pillars outlined across the plan will drive decision-making and development for the next five years: Learning Community Environment Performance

With broad academic and vocational pathways, rich extracurricular opportunities, and a focus on character, wellbeing, and humanity, West Moreton Anglican College inspires students to pursue individual excellence and grow into confident, compassionate global citizens ready to lead with purpose.

I look forward to working with all members of our community as we enter this next exciting phase of development for our college.
