June 12, 2019

June 19, 2019

June 26, 2019

Eclipse-Chicago is a Pink Floyd Tribute band based out of the western suburbs of Chicago. The group is comprised of professional and talented musicians with a passion to bring you the best of Pink Floyd.

With their skillfully led instrumentals and new songs that blur the line between country, pop and hip-hop, The Ethan Bell Band has been humbly compared to their influencers - Zac Brown Band and Florida Georgia Line.

4th Point is a high-energy contemporary rock band from the Chicago-area. The four best friends are striving to spread their music, by seeking new platforms to bring their message of hope and inspiration to audiences nationwide.

“RockStar Rodeo”

“Paula & the Flashbacks”

“Sushi Roll”

July 17, 2019

July 31, 2019

August 7, 2019

Covering artists like Miranda Lambert , Jason Aldean, ACDC, John Mellencamp and more. Rockstar Rodeo brings rock ‘n’ country to life in a dancing, sing-along, having the time of your life event, with a high energy delivery you’ve never seen before.

Playing Disco, Rock & Motown hits from

the 60’s and 70’s to today. Paula & the Flashbacks bring the dance party with blazing hot guitar solos, disco grooves, line dances and conga lines.

Sushi Roll is one-part driving rock, one-part light-hearted pop, and one-part over-thetop theatrical verve. The band easily transitions between revved-up versions of your favorite pop and rock hits.

PRESCHOOL 2019 - 2020 School Year

Keppler Academy Introduction & Philosophy

The West Chicago Park District’s Keppler Academy Preschool focuses on the developmental needs of children from three to five years old. Keppler Academy is designed to give children the tools and experiences necessary to assure a positive transition to kindergarten. Our program offers a warm, nurturing, and friendly environment where children can explore, create, and flourish. Socialization skills and independence are developed through a variety of daily skills and exercises. Our philosophy is that all children learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, and positive interactions with others. Every child is unique and will develop at their own pace. We foster an environment that will help all children succeed emotionally, physically, and socially. Every child has their own learning style and we give many options to explore and build on those abilities. (GR)

YOUTH PROGRAMS Root Beer Rocks! Brewing homemade root beer is a ridiculously fun and tasty way to introduce early chemistry teachings to children! Kids can become a history and science expert on this beloved bubbly drink as we produce a batch of root beer. Next, the class will cast their vote for BEST ROOT BEER IN TOWN as they taste test a flight of 5 different unidentified sumptuous foamy brands. Finally, kids will complete their experience by preparing their own customized “black cow” (root beer float)! This is a child’s dream class and all about putting the fun back into learning. Demystifying Clique Chaos Life Coaching for Kids Cliques are EVERYWHERE. This class is for BOTH girls and boys….cliques can occur with either gender! How do we “fit in” when social popularity or sports cliques form? It is a horrible feeling……UNLESS your child has a self-esteem muscle developed. If they do already, we will build on that, and if they don’t, we will learn the first steps in pumping it up. While this is a serious subject, the content is presented in a high energy and motivating manner with hilarious games like: Collapsing Caitlin the Clicker, Bananas in the Lunch Room, Crickets at Night, Wet N Wild, Bubble Soccer Bobby, and more!

Tot Rock Maracas and clackers and tambourines, too; it’s musical fun just for you! Tot Rock is a unique music and learning program designed specifically for 1 year olds. Each session focuses on a new educational theme that incorporates hand held instruments, sensory integration, coordination exercises, and socialization. Sing, dance and play today! Class held at Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles (GR) Tu 6/11-8/6 *No class 7/2

Kid Rock Make it a musical day! Kid Rock is a music and movement program designed to stimulate development through interactive play. Fine and gross motor skills are improved through imagination exercises, and by using rhythm instruments and movement props such as tambourines, maracas, scarves and a parachute. Class will be held at the Saint Charles Park District; Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles. (GR) Tu 6/11-8/6 *No class 7/2

Enjoy the healing benefits of Yin Yoga for both the mind and the body. This style of yoga is a more meditative approach with a physical focus that goes much deeper to access the deep connective tissues within the body that encompass a joint, such as the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Yin Yoga postures are done mainly on the floor, and are unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscles and focus on the breath as you hold each posture for several minutes. As one ages, flexibility in the joints decreases, and Yin Yoga is a wonderful way to maintain that flexibility and live a healthy way of life. (KK)

Cornerstone Lakes Park is located along Smith Road on the north side of the city. Featuring a 25-acre lake for catch and release fishing, one playground, an asphalt trail, seven soccer fields, a sand volleyball court, one baseball/softball diamond, a picnic shelter, and native landscaping, the park is picture perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

On a sunny weekend you’ll find plenty of activity at Kress Creek Farms since it houses our 18 cage Disc Golf Course, Chicago Bears themed playground and trail system. Located along Joliet Street on the south side of the city, Kress Creek Farms has rolling hills, native landscaping, and a small pond for catch and release fishing.

Reed-Keppler Park is West Chicago’s premier park. The park contains the ever popular Turtle Splash Water Park, six baseball/softball diamonds, four picnic shelters, skate park, a two-acre dog park named Wiggly Field, Keppler Academy Preschool, several trails, and multiple playgrounds. Adjacent to Reed-Keppler Park is the Geneva Spur bike trail, an integral part of the Illinois Prairie Path system and the Dyer Nature area. Through the generosity of John and Joan Dyer and their appreciation of natural lands they have donated 25 acres of prairie and wetlands named after them in their honor. Reed-Keppler Park is the home to the ARC Center (Athletics, Recreation & Community) and ZONE250 a sports performance training facility.

Dyer Riverwood Farm Park This seven-acre site donated by John and Joan Dyer is bordered on the west side by the DuPage River. As part of an intergovernmental agreement between the West Chicago Park District and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the park now contains a bike trail that links to the Illinois Prairie Path System.

Easton Park Located on the south side of Washington Street in the City of West Chicago. In addition, ash trees have been replaced in the park though a $10,000 Urban Restoration grant. Easton Park contains a playground, a catch and release pond, trails and picnic areas and new pavilion.

Hampton Hills & Prince Crossing Parks Located adjacent to Hampton Hills and Prince Crossing Trails subdivisions, these two parks make up one great neighborhood park. The Hampton Hills side which is accessible at 719 Hampton Course Drive features a catch and release pond, gazebo and path system. The Prince Crossing side which is accessible at 900 McCormick Lane features a playground and path system.

Hawthorne Park

Kwasman Memorial Park This neighborhood park is located within the Forest Trails subdivision and has been renamed in honor of former Mayor Mike Kwasman. The park contains a playground and is adjacent to the Illinois Prairie Path and Great Western Trail intersects for easy access.
