PRESCHOOL 2020 - 2021 School Year

Keppler Academy Introduction & Philosophy

The West Chicago Park District’s Keppler Academy Preschool focuses on the developmental needs of children from three to five years old. Keppler Academy is designed to give children the tools and experiences necessary to assure a positive transition to kindergarten. Our program offers a warm, nurturing, and friendly environment where children can explore, create, and flourish. Socialization skills and independence are developed through a variety of daily skills and exercises. Our philosophy is that all children learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, and positive interactions with others. Every child is unique and will develop at their own pace. We foster an environment that will help all children succeed emotionally, physically, and socially. Every child has their own learning style and we give many options to explore and build on those abilities. (EP)

Registration, Payment & Additional Information Registration for the 2020/2021 school year begins February 24 for returning students, March 1 for residents and March 8 for non-residents. Children must be age appropriate for program by September 1, 2020. There is a $50 fee per child due at the time of registration to secure your child’s place in the program. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Take advantage of our convenient monthly EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) payment plan where payments are automatically withdrawn from your credit or debit card on the first of the month (September through May). All yearly fees must be paid in full at time of registration. School calendar, supply list, and Parent Handbook will be emailed out to parents upon registration. Keppler Academy is located at 161 W. National Street in West Chicago.

If you haven’t heard of or played Pickleball, you’re missing out on the biggest craze since the Hula Hoop! Pickleball is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickleball paddles and a ball similar to a whiffle ball, but slightly smaller. The lower net and whiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their mettle. It was created with one thing in mind: FUN! Checkout a paddle at the front desk using your I.D. and meet in the gym.
