Working in our Risk Control Department, you will be reporting to the Occupational Health & Safety Officer. Implementing and maintaining occupational health & safety standards and procedures, stipulated in the OHSACT and Alexander Forbes (Marsh) standards, will form part of your duties. Responsibilities: ▪ Identifying and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace ▪ Liaising with the Health & Safety Officer regularly regarding the safety and occupational health matters ▪ Preparing comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards ▪ Reviewing injury reports and report on any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents ▪ Identifying health & safety training needs and assist with the resolution thereof ▪ Applying, updating and adhering to all company policies, procedures and practices. Requirements: ▪ Grade 12 or equivalent ▪ Knowledge or training on occupational health & safety compliance ▪ Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, computer and report writing skills.
