What is the maximum number of weddings per day on Weissenhaus? Only one. On your big day, we would like to direct our entire focus exclusively on you as the bride and groom. In addition, you enjoy the exclusivity of the booked location.
Can I have a personal look at the location on site?
We would be happy to welcome you personally at Weissenhaus to present you the locations and conditions on site. Please let us know if we may arrange an appointment.
Are there fixed dates for a civil wedding ceremony on Weissenhaus? The wedding ceremonies are performed by the registry office Oldenburg Land and take place on different dates, fridays at 11:30 am.
How many rooms may I book for my wedding with you?
With an exclusive booking, all of our 59 suites & rooms are available for you and your guests.
What does exclusive booking mean? This means you book the entire resort with all 59 suites & rooms and restaurants exclusively for your guests. The condition for this is a firmly defined minimum turnover and the booking of all accommodation units for 2 nights or more, depending on the season.
When will the details, such as food, drinks and decoration be discussed? The above items will be finalized approximately 2 months before the event begins. At this time, we will also send you our current food and beverage offer.
Is there a possibility to provisionally book a wedding date? Yes, so that you have enough time to decide, we will keep your desired date provisional held for you for up to 2 calendar weeks.
Do I have to book the rooms for my wedding at your resort? The holistic experience is an essential part of our philosophy. Your well-being comes first. For this reason, it is essential to book the resort exclusively as part of a wedding at Weissenhaus.
Is there a possibility for a rehearsal dinner? We will be happy to welcome you for a rehearsal dinner approx. 4 - 8 calendar weeks before your big day. You as the bridal couple only pay 50% of the regular menu price. Additional guests pay 100% of the menu price. Drinks at the rehearsal dinner are charged at half price (with the exception of champagne). Please note that wines sampled that are not offered by the glass will be charged at the bottle price.
GOOD TO KNOW
How long and how loud can the music be played? The resort reserves the right to regulate the volume of music, regardless of genre. In principle, soft music is allowed in the background. In the Restaurant Bootshaus and in the Bootshaus Lounge, music is only permitted in the case of an exclusive booking.
Do you have a music system on site? All our locations are equipped with a house music system through which quiet background music can be played. For louder music, our recommended musicians offer an appropriate music and lighting system in their overall package.
Are we allowed to let balloons rise above Weissenhaus?
We ask for your understanding that we cannot support letting balloons rise into the sky, as their journey ends in our oceans. We would like to counteract the ongoing process of pollution of ecosystems by plastics. However, this does not mean that you have to give up balloons, as long as they remain tied and can be collected after the ceremony.
Are we allowed to light fireworks? Based on our philosophy, we have decided not to let fireworks rise on Weissenhaus outside of an exclusive booking of the resort - especially for fire safety reasons. Weissenhaus is a unique place of retreat and tranquillity with numerous historical relics. We would also like to prevent the contamination of fields and waters and protect the diversity of flora, fauna and the wildlife native to the property.
Can I bring my favourite wine to my wedding? You are welcome to let us know which wine is your favourite. If this is not available in our offer, we will consider an individual order. Please understand that in this case a fixed quantity of bottles will be ordered and completely purchased by you. A payment of corkage fee is not provided at Weissenhaus.
Do you offer drinks package? No. The drinks at your wedding are charged according to individual consumption. This means for example that you do not pay a costly package for pregnant guests or people who do not consume any alcohol. We will be happy to provide you with reference costs based on our experience.
GOOD TO KNOW
Can we rent decoration material from you? There are no decoration items available for rent. Our inhouse florist prepares custom floral arrangements upon request for celebrations with up to 15 guests. For larger weddings, we are happy to recommend an external florist or event decorator.
Until when do you need the final number of guests? We ask for an initial indication 2 calendar weeks before the start of the event. 10 days before the wedding, we need the guaranteed number of guests, which serves as the basis for billing, as well as a final seating plan, which clarifies the positions as well as intolerances or allergies of the individual guests.
Where can our guests park? We charge €25.00 per vehicle per night for parking spaces on our property, including our valet parking service. If you prefer a covered car park within our carport facility, please reserve these limited spaces in advance. We charge a surcharge of €15.00 per night.
Is it possible to have breakfast in the room on my wedding day? Due to the special characteristics of Weissenhaus, we do not offer room service for breakfast. You are welcome to enjoy our gourmet breakfast from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Kavaliershaus.
Where can we store the wedding presents? We will gladly prepare a present table for you within the location. After the ceremony, we will ask you to take them to your room or to the evening location. We thank you for your understanding that we will only carry your presents in the company of a person you trust. In addition, we recommend that you personally take cash presents with you immediately on the evening.
When may we start with the set-up for our wedding?
We will be happy to coordinate this individually with you.
Which services are included in the minimum charge?
You use the entire event space in each case. The setup and dismantling and the subsequent cleaning are of course included, as well as the table setting (depending on the location: table linen, tableware, napkins) and white chair covers (only in the Reetscheune). LED candles in satin tea light holders as well as staff for the service and kitchen area until 11.00 p.m. are at your disposal. In addition, all energy costs (230V connection) are included in the minimum charge.
How can our vegetarian guests and allergy sufferers be best looked after? We are happy to accommodate if there are vegetarians or allergy sufferers among your guests. We will then prepare an appropriate alternative for the guests. As part of the menu, we ask you to let us know in advance a number of dishes required, as well as to mark the guests accordingly on the seating plan.
Is there a binding end time for my wedding ceremony at the Reetscheune? There is no fixed end time for weddings at Weissenhaus. Together with your guests you may celebrate until the morning hours. Please note that from 11.00 p.m. onwards € 75,00 per hour will be charged per service staff with guest contact.
GOOD TO KNOW
Can our child or guest children be looked after?
Weissenhaus is a luxury resort for adults aged 12 and over seeking peace and relaxation. Children are welcome as part of an exclusive event. On request, we offer a fee-based babysitting service in the rooms.
What happens if the minimum revenue is not reached?
If the food and drinks consumed fall short of the minimum spend, the balance will be booked as room rental. We will be happy to provide you with an individual calculation in advance, based on our experience, which can be considered as an initial guideline for you.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
DEPOSIT
A deposit invoice will be sent to you, depending on the size of the celebration, between one and four months before the start of the event.
INVOICING
Regarding the exact invoicing, we will contact you before the wedding. After the event, we will send you an invoice within one calendar week, minus the deposit already paid.
The accommodation costs are charged 100% in advance. Likewise, 90% of further sales will be charged.
OTHER
All prices include service charge and legal VAT of 7% and 19%. In the case of an increase in VAT, the resort is entitled to adjust the price accordingly.
