WELCOME A very warm welcome to Hamilton Park for our Jordan Electrics Family Racenight. Family-themed racedays play a key part in our fixture list, as we look to engage with the future generations of racegoers with the combination of excellent racing and fantastic family activities. We are now halfway through the 2022 season, and I would like to thank all Owners and Trainers who have supported our fixtures so far this year, in what are incredibly challenging times for us all. It’s particularly pleasing to hear that our record commitment to prize money across the whole programme has been so well received, alongside our enhanced offering to visiting Owners. A big thank you to Brian Jordan and the team at Jordan Electrics who are our title sponsors this evening, along with tonight’s other sponsors, the European Breeder’s Fund, JFM Electrical, Aspire Cleaning Services & Facilities, Stephen McLaughlin, and Stephen McCluskey from Summerstorm Bloodstock – I do hope you and your guests enjoy your evening with us. We are proud to say that every pound given in sponsorship goes straight to our prize money which has helped us commit to a record level this year of £1.6M. Our feature race tonight sees a competitive field of seven runners, including the aptly-named Bringitonboris, trained by Keith Dalgleish and ridden by Sam James. Charlie and Mark Johnston will be hoping that Dutch Decoy will return to the form that saw him win at Newcastle and Lingfield earlier this year, as well as over 6f here back in 2019. Newmarket-based trainer Ed Dunlop has also targeted this race with Muhtashim who has won twice from five runs this year. Dunlop also trained the famous Red Cadeaux, who won the 2011 Braveheart Listed Stakes before going on to achieve success at the highest level around the globe. Our own Red’s Wine Bar is named in honour of this wonderful horse, so do pop in to see some fantastic memorabilia from his incredible career. In addition to our usual array of free children’s entertainment around the grounds, tonight sees the return of our Kid’s Fancy Dress competition with £250 up for grabs for the winner. The competition is open to under 18’s, who should make their way to the stage on the Paddock Lawn at 5pm for the first round of judging. Our judges will select the final three who will be invited to the Winner’s Enclosure after the 4th race (7.30pm) for the prize giving. Previous winners include ‘The cast of Still Game’ and ‘Animal’ from the Muppet Show which has set a very high standard, and so I’m sure the competition will be hotly contested. After racing we’ll be turning our attention to the stage for some fabulous live music. Top tribute act Little Mix Magic are back by popular demand along with Simply Ariana, whilst 2013 The X Factor runner-up and local favourite Nicholas McDonald is sure to close the evening in style, taking us through until 10.30pm. Have a wonderful evening and I hope you back a few winners! Kind Regards ASHLEY MOON, RACECOURSE MANAGING DIRECTOR

RACE DESCRIPTION

This race is a five furlongs novice stakes for two-year-olds. Novice races provide a starting point for young horses that d most of the horses will be very lightly-raced or be making their racecourse debuts. Previous experience can count for a lot when searching for the winner but well-bred or precocious juveniles are more than capable of landing the prize at the first time of asking.

FOR THREE YRS OLD AND UPWARDS NUMBER OF DECLARED RUNNERS 8

RACE STATISTICS

Jordan Electrics have very generously sponsored this race and will present a memento to the winning Owner. In addition, they will present a cash prize to the person in charge of the horse judged to be the best turned out. Owners Prize Money. Winner £2859; Second £1429; Third £715; Fourth £357; Fifth £240; Sixth £240. (Penalty Value £3618)

This is a five furlong handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their official handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130. Leading course trainer (17-22): D O’Meara (28 wins from 146 runners, 19%) runs IMPERIAL KHAN Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): M & D Easterby (6 wins from 30 runners, 20%) runs REFUGE Longest Traveller: IMPERIAL KHAN trained by D O’Meara, Upper Helmsley, 208 miles.

RACE SUMMARY: REFUGE was a back-to-back winner over this C&D last month, cosily seeing off the re-opposing duo Sunset Glow and Astapor on the latter occasion, and he continued the good work when just touched off at Ayr recently. The 5-y-o is likely to prove a tough nut to crack back at this course. Earn Your Stripes finally got the job done here 16 days ago and she could be the one for the forecast, though Kraken Power is also worth a second look having slipped to a dangerous mark. 1-2-3: 1.REFUGE 2.EARN YOUR STRIPES 3.KRAKEN POWER (IRE)

RACE STATISTICS

Jordan Electrics have very generously sponsored this race and will present a memento to the winning Owner. In addition, they will present a cash prize to the person in charge of the horse judged to be the best turned out. Owners Prize Money. Winner £5291; Second £2645; Third £1323; Fourth £661; Fifth £240; Sixth £240. (Penalty Value £6696)

This is a mile handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 66 to 85. Leading course trainer (17-22): K Dalgleish (52 wins from 416 runners, 12%) runs BRINGITONBORIS Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): C & M Johnston (12 wins from 76 runners, 16%) runs DUTCH DECOY Longest Traveller: MUHTASHIM trained by E Dunlop, Newmarket, 360 miles.

RACE SUMMARY: A competitive little heat, with

MUHTASHIM getting the verdict. Ed Dunlop’s 3-y-o took a step forward when fourth at Newmarket last time and has potential to improve further from the same mark. Consistent pair Cosmos Raj and He’s A Gentleman are both considered, as is recent Carlisle runner-up Ana Gold.

THE JFM ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) RACE DESCRIPTION

FOR THREE YRS OLD AND UPWARDS NUMBER OF DECLARED RUNNERS 9

RACE STATISTICS

JFM Electrical Contractors have very generously sponsored this race and will present a memento to the winning owner. In addition, they will present a cash prize to the person in charge of the horse judged to be the best turned out. Owners Prize Money. Winner £2859; Second £1429; Third £715; Fourth £357; Fifth £240; Sixth £240. (Penalty Value £3618)

This is a mile handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 60. Leading course trainer (17-22): K Dalgleish (52 wins from 416 runners, 12%) runs AYR EMPRESS and KRAKEN FILLY Trainer-in-form (last 14 days): R Fahey (7 wins from 52 runners, 13%) runs TIME TO RUMBLE Longest Traveller: TIME TO RUMBLE trained by R Fahey, Malton, 203 miles.

BETTING FORECAST: 10-3 Cosa Sara (IRE), 4-1 Time To Rumble (GB), 5-1 Retirement Beckons (GB), 7-1 Ayr Empress (IRE), 8-1 Chinese Spirit (IRE), 9-1 Fire In The Rain (GB), 20-1 Willing To Please (GB), 22-1 Ben Doon (IRE), 28-1 Kraken Filly (IRE) RACE SUMMARY: COSA SARA has already scored 3 times

this year and was unlucky not to go even closer at Ayr last time, so can make amends here from the same mark. Time To Rumble is enjoying a good spell and looks a serious threat, as does fast-finishing Beverley third Fire In The Rain.

1-2-3: 1.COSA SARA (IRE) 2.TIME TO RUMBLE 3.FIRE IN THE RAIN STEWARDS NOTE: COSA SARA: Following its run on 3/7/2022 it was reported that the horse was denied a clear run late-on.
