Elisabeth Campbell Elisabeth Campbell is currently a second-year student at the University of Central Florida and proud WCS alumna. In 2018, Elisabeth began the WCS Literary Magazine as its editor-in-chief and oversaw the magazine’s first four issues. As a student at Westminster, Elisabeth served as president of the National English Honor Society for one year and the copy editor of Westminster’s yearbook, the Beacon, for two years. As a college student, Elisabeth studies Creative Writing as part of UCF’s English program and has recently been offered the opportunity to co-author a book on Hispanic cultures in the United States. For Elisabeth, writing is as much a part of her as it is a hope for a future career. Her passion for telling stories inspired her to write the following short piece. “Metaphors” is a fantasy story designed to play on the ancient Greek understanding of the obscene. The story occurs in the eye of a storm, the storm itself playing a large part in the plot’s denouement.
