Facing the Storm Natalia Milo ‘22 The day arrived ever so fast Almost as if it were the year before Our team could finally take a breath at last, Preparing for the downpour. The lights were just as bright As we walked in to subdue With little to no fright, We believed we were ready for the typhoon. The game of the season was about to begin As they handed our team the game ball Every player with a very big grin, Then there was almost a sudden squall. Both teams showed off how well they could perform, Realizing that they were both caught in the storm. Each player giving it all they got Even when the calls were not all the fairest Each team really, really fought, While being stuck in the tempest. The game was nearing the end Preparing for the result unknown Our team not being able to comprehend, The other team had escaped the cyclone. Not liking the end result Leaving our team in lots of pain Coming back next year is a must, Competing again against the hurricane. Next year a new team will be born, And hopefully we will be able to face the eye of the storm.
