Charity Gala Night HRH Prince Hj Abdul Azim was the Chief Guest at the Charity Gala Night. HRH in his speech said, "The steps taken by the Sounds of Hope (SOH) volunteer group to help eradicate poverty in Brunei, and the inspiration that these young people who on their own volition, have chosen to devote their time, energy and creativity to such a worthy cause was the main purpose of the gathering." Also attending last night's gala event were HRH Prince 'Abdul Malik and HRH Prince 'Abdul Mateen. The event began with welcoming remarks from the President of the Women's Business Council, Datin Paduka Hjh Rokiah Hj Zakiah who spoke about a brief explanation on the role of the Women's Business Council in providing assistance, particularly to single mothers in the country. Two cheque donations were also presented worth $25,400 from BIBD by Dyg.Hjh Nurul Akmar and $3,000 from Darussalam Holdings by the Managing Director, Hj Mahmud bin Mohamed.
During dinner, 25 performances from local artistes such as P2F's Hill Zaini, Feez Madea, Faizul from 'A Band Once', Dayat, Zul F, Pei Pei and Dillah of the Seeds were performed. Dance performances were also carried out by various dance groups such as the Lively Dancers, Epic Rhythm, Rhythm Fusion and Jozy, The Soloists, Urban Vibe and Studio Scene. It was organised by WBC in collaboration with the Sounds of Hope and supported by the Community Development Department and was held at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.

Hari Raya Gathering
WBC held a gathering among members and friends to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri which was held at the D’Valley Restaurant, ICC. It was an enjoyable afternoon filled with music, dance, karaoke and lucky draws.

23 Oct 2009 BAG Networks Focus Group Meeting The informal discussion and brainstorming event was attended by women leaders from the different sectors. WBC was represnted by Datin Paduka Hjh Rokiah, Dyg Hjh Mordiah and Nellie. The group was welcomed by Dyg Haslina Taib, CEO BAG Networks which organised the event.At the end of the lively and fruitful discussion the focus group came up with an action plan and a proposed women’s portal. The event was held at the Country Club, Empire Hotel and Country Club.
