Through a partnership with the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO), we are excited to announce a new staff member within the Center for Campus Ministry Becky Juliano will begin to directly serve students on the campus of Waynesburg University as the Coordinator of Campus Ministry After serving at First Presbyterian Church for almost 17 years in partnership with the CCO, Becky’s office will be on campus in the Center for Campus Ministry (1st floor Stover) With this addition, Chaplain Sumpter has moved to Buhl 211, but will still be present in the Center for Campus Ministry.

Becky is VERY familiar with Waynesburg University and currently mentors a great number of students through her ministry as a CCO Campus Minister. Over 10 years ago, Becky worked on campus as an Assistant Coach for the WU Women’s Soccer team and was an advisor for the Outdoors Club on campus. Prior to ministering in Waynesburg, Becky played four years of collegiate soccer at Messiah College where she earned her undergraduate degree in Engineering in 1998 She went on to earn a master’s degree in Christian formation and ministry from Wheaton College in 2006 Becky is married to her husband, Mike, and has two children, and resides in Waynesburg, PA

It may seem like just yesterday that your student was a high school senior, awaiting an acceptance letter from Waynesburg University Four years later, your college senior is just weeks away from graduating college and preparing to take on new opportunities and challenges

Each year, graduating seniors and their families make a gift to the University through The Senior Class Gift program This year’s Senior Class Gift Committee has chosen to raise funds to renovate the former Criminal Justice faculty lounge on the second floor of Buhl Hall, our humanities building, to make the space more suitable, usable, and inviting for students

This idea was presented mainly due to the large number of classes all students, regardless of major, are required to take in Buhl – perhaps more than any other building on campus Any funds raised above and beyond those needed for the renovation will be earmarked for additional beautification of other Buhl Hall spaces Additionally, University Chaplain Joshua Sumpter has generously offered to match each dollar raised toward this year’s Senior Class Gift project, up to $2,000, from the Biblical and Ministry Studies restricted fund

To make a charitable gift in honor of your 2025 graduate and help the Senior Class reach its fundraising goal, visit waynesburgedu/classof2025, or mail a check made payable to Waynesburg University, addressed to the Office of Institutional Advancement, Waynesburg University, 51 W College St, Waynesburg, PA 15370 (be sure to put “Senior Class Gift” in the memo!)

To thank you for your generosity, we will send your graduate a Waynesburg University Alumni laptop sticker, a WU luggage tag and/or a WU bound journal based on your giving level

- Any gift: Give a gift of any size to receive a Waynesburg University Alumni laptop sticker

- $50 or more: Give a gift of $50 or more to receive a Waynesburg University Alumni laptop sticker and WU luggage tag - $75 or more: Give a gift of $75 or more to receive the thank you gifts listed above and a Waynesburg University bound journal.

Congratulations to your entire family on this significant achievement! We know that family support is vital to our students and their academic achievements Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to honoring this milestone at Commencement on May 4, 2025

Orange Week: It’s a Wrap!
