Students who plan to travel to and from campus via plane or bus can utilize the Grey Line, which provides transportation from the Pittsburgh International Airport and the Greyhound Bus Station (1 block from the train station) in Pittsburgh year round.
As an added convenience, WU supplements the Grey Line schedule with several studentoperated shuttles during peak days based on our academic calendar. Reservations for a WU shuttle need to be made five business days in advance to allow for the scheduling of student drivers. Campus shuttles only run with reservations in advance. Waynesburg University is working with United Educators to provide all faculty, staff, students, investigators, hearing officers, and informal resolution facilitators with an annual training program, on Title IX Regulations Among other things the program will outline the conduct that constitutes sex discrimination under Title IX. We will be sending a follow-up notice with dates/times for the training at the start of the semester and look forward to your participation.
Waynesburg University is excited to inform you about an exciting behaviorally smart SMS chatbot program we are implementing this year to help with our efforts to maintain connections with your student, increase persistence, and retain them. We have partnered with EdSights for this program, and here is a quick video overview about them
EdSights has built a chatbot that will interact with our students via text message and will be named after our mascot, Sting. The chatbot will check in with our students about their experience at Waynesburg University and will provide them with resources for any struggles they might face. In addition, just like "Siri" or "Alexa," Sting can answer students’ questions across a broad range of campus topics specific to Waynesburg University
We are bringing Sting to life as a chatbot as a way for us to provide additional support to your student and meet them where they are by answering their questions and communicate important information in a more intentional and timely manner. It is also great for Sting to hear student feedback and create a virtual community.
For your reference, here is the 2025-2026 Academic Calendar.
