“I have come to realize that it isn't what I did in the past that shapes who I am today but rather what I am doing now to have a better tomorrow�; says Larry (2014 Eddie Washington Center Graduate).

On Friday, December 2, 2016, the Staben House and the Eddie Washington Center will host a “Home for the Holidays� fundraiser dinner at the Chevy Chase Country Club located at 1000 N Milwaukee Ave, Wheeling , Illinois. The Staben House and the Eddie Washington Center are transitional housing facilities for homeless individuals and families. The programs are designed to empower homeless men, women and children in Lake County with the main objective of self-sufficiency.

At this dinner, we will highlight successes and accomplishments of the programs. We will also recognize partnering organizations that have served as critical links in the services we provide. Over the past year, Staben House assisted 63 individuals with a total of 40 children. Since inception, Staben House has assisted over 300 families with over 600 children.

To ensure the success of this fundraiser, we are seeking your sponsorship to help defray the cost of the event so that 100% of funds raised can go directly to the Staben House and the Eddie Washington Center. It is generous donors like you that are the key to our success and make it possible for Staben House and Eddie Washington Center to continue to provide critical services to our most vulnerable population; the homeless.

We are certain you will join us in our mission of helping others help themselves.
