In general UK temperature is gloomy weather which gets cool, wet winters and wet summers,

and that makes us spend around 90% of our time

inside, therefore it affects our psychological state of mind. Due to this case, my design project is focusing on natural daylighting and nature rather than keeping it out, which makes it an ecological design that provides a positive and productive environment for the occupants by including an atrium that leads to energy efficiency also a climate weather

Floor plans for all 6 levels

The atrium house includes 120 units, each building consists of 6 floors excluding the ground floor. each floor has 5 apartments which in total 30 apartments in each building. also each building has different amenities located on the ground floor. The North building includes the main entrance of the building also a lounge and a small library. The South building includes a gym. West building includes a small art studio. lastly, the East buildings include bicycle storage.

external reaction to fire:

The façade cladding system I’m using is corten steel which it’s an insulated panel façade that’s been programmed of BS8414 large-scale testing Fig(1).On the other hand, the hempcrete wall system provides thermal mass, as well as insulation, because of the density of the lime binder, this means that hempcrete is able to store heat within the fabric of the material itself.

Reaction to fire:
