SuRie

We are very proud to announce that Hills Road Alumna, Susanna Cork, professionally known as SuRie, will be representing the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal on 12th May. Head of Performing Arts, Richard Fredman, said “It is impossible to think of anyone who is warmer or more supportive of others than Susanna Cork. My favourite memory of her is when she was Musical Director for our college production of Les Misérables.” “Suspended on a platform two metres above the stage and having just run a hip-hop warm-up for the cast, the band was a pianist down, so Susanna proceeded to play 1st piano whilst conducting the entire Photography students taking photographs in Venice show with her head. NUS Vice President talks to Students

Emily Chapman, Vice President of the National Union of Students, is currently conducting a tour of further education providers affiliated with the NUS in the region. She came to Hills Road on 12th March to talk to students about what the NUS stands for, current NUS policies and objectives, and the upcoming NUS election. There was also time for students to ask Emily questions. This was a great talk to attend for students interested in the representation of students and politics.
