Labour and Lib Dems clash over Brexit Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire parliamentary candidates took part in the Hills Road Hustings, to give students the chance to ask questions on the issues that matter the most to them. Prison reform was hot on students’ agendas. Hills student Luke Davies asked where candidates stood on punishment versus rehabilitation in our prisons.
Labour, Green Party and Liberal Democrats all took a similar position that prison service reforms are critical, Rod Cantrill said that “prisons should be a place for rehabilitation, not punishment” and all parties acknowledged that significant investment was required.
