A Message of Unity and Joy for the Holiday Season.
As November arrives, so does a season rich with reflection, gratitude, and community spirit. As I write this message, Election Day is on the horizon and the anticipation is high. By the time you read this, some results will be known with others still pending. But even as the results come in and we know what lies ahead, let’s take a moment to celebrate all the ways our community is already connected. Vista is a place where families gather, friends support one another, and our neighborhoods are bound by the traditions and the love we share for our unique town. This season, let’s focus on that unity, the joy that fills our lives, and the gratitude we feel for each other.
While national conversations may feel divisive, in Vista, we have so much in common. Our community is built on shared values—compassion, generosity, and a dedication to making our town a wonderful place to live, work, and grow. As we turn our attention to the holidays, we have countless opportunities to come together, celebrate, and lift each other up. From the cherished annual Christmas Parade to the magical displays at Jingle Terrace Park, the holiday season is filled with moments for us to connect and create memories that last a lifetime.
Let’s also think about ways to give back. Vista is home to a range of nonprofits working year-round to support youth, education, the arts, veterans, animal welfare, food security, homelessness, environmental causes, and more. Each of these organizations brings something essential to our community, and they would love your support. This season, consider donating, volunteering, or even helping to spread
the word about a cause that speaks to you. Check the Chamber directory for a list of nonprofits making a difference in Vista. Every act of kindness—big or small—strengthens the bonds that make Vista a true community, bringing us closer and filling the season with unity and joy.
As we head into the new year, let’s carry forward the spirit of unity and love. Together, we can continue to build a thriving, vibrant Vista where everyone feels valued and celebrated. Let’s keep looking for those points of connection and shared purpose, even in moments of disagreement. Because in the end, our love for this community, for each other, and for the future we’re creating is what matters most.
Happy Holidays, Vista—may they be filled with joy, love, and togetherness.
Vista Chamber President & CEO Rachel Beld
By Eva Redding
When Vince Obarski tried mead for the first time while stationed in Norway, he was immediately intrigued by the libation fermented from honeY.
In a category of its own, not quite wine and not beer, it is known as the oldest beverage in the world. The thought of someday making his own mead lingered long after he returned to the US. Years later, while searching for a new chapter in his life, Vince encountered several strange coincidences. One day, he found himself surrounded by a swarm of bees, yet he was left unharmed. Soon after, he discovered a bee colony in his owl box. And when he was stung by a struggling bee, to his surprise, the sting didn’t hurt. Instead, it sent endorphins through his body—a message of a new direction and a sign to speak to his wife Robin about pursuing the craft of mead making.
During Vince’s phase of research and experimentation, he joined a brew club to obtain feedback on his recipes. While the product gained instant praise from his family and friends, the real test came when he and Robin set up a booth in front of thousands of people at a large event. Vince said, “The feedback was amazing. Perfect strangers were saying, ‘I want more!’” December 2016 marked the opening of their business, Twisted Horn Mead & Cider, in Vista. Since then, Vince and Robin Obarski, along with their six employees, have built a successful company with a loyal following. “We purposely tailored our products to grab the attention of the beer culture with flavors that are light, refreshing, and clean—flavors that Southern Californians would appreciate. We wanted to be a niche
within a niche.” It was during COVID when they learned just how loyal their customers truly are. With a groundswell of support and by pivoting to canning and bottling, they were able to survive and keep all employees on board while navigating the pandemic closures.
In their Nordic Viking style mead hall, with seventeen rotating taps of mead and cider, and their latest refreshing product, “slushies,” they are excited to offer creative flavor combinations. Vince noted, “With mead and cider, there are endless possibilities and formulations with herbs, spices, fruits, and even vegetables. There are more opportunities to be an artist.” Whether you try one of
their most popular meads, Blauhaus, made with orange blossom honey, blueberry, Madagascar vanilla, Meyer lemon, and lavender or their specialty ciders, fine craftsmanship is evident in every sip. The gluten-free flavors range from dry to semi-sweet. Vince explained that in mead, fifty-one percent of fermentable sugars must come from honey. In cider, the fermentation comes mostly from apples, pears, or quince.
In addition to serving delicious beverages, Twisted Horn offers live music, food vendors, trivia nights, Dungeons & Dragons nights, and Rune readings. From the Vista Viking Festival and Strawberry Festival to the Wassail Cider Festival and various craft events, the company is busy getting involved in the community. They have also donated money and products to benefit the MS Society, Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, and held fundraisers for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Farewell (The Remix)
When our insurance brokerage first joined the Chamber in 2018, we had hopes of making our name known in Vista’s steadily growing business community. We attended networking mixers and worked with the Membership Committee, but we weren’t sure we were making an impact. Shortly after, there was a change in Chamber leadership, and we felt as though we’d have to start all over to establish ourselves as Chamber members whose business goals aligned with so many of the those around us.
Rachel Beld was the brand new CEO at the time, and my father/business partner asked me to reach out to her ASAP. Rachel’s response was near immediate. We had lunch and she was very honest about how much she had to catch up on in her new position. But she took action quickly. Soon, we had a plan on how to best utilize the Chamber based on our business goals, and how to make an impact on a place that we love so much. The point of the story is that the Chamber cares about our businesses, and Rachel has proven to be the perfect person to lead us in fulfilling our mission. Leaders who act without listening are just acting like leaders.
Since my last farewell article, so much has changed. I’ve seen growth and hardship but, most importantly, I’ve seen steady hands. That goes for our dedicated Board that volunteers their time and knowledge, our staff that keeps an open door, and shows up with smiles on their faces, and our leader Rachel Beld.
Thanks to ALL that have made my tenure as Chair one to remember! In our 100 year history, I am the first Black Chair of the Vista Chamber of Commerce. So many of you have had my back, as I wasn’t sure that this was the right place or time for me to hold this position. My focus was just to do my best to contribute, build good relationships, and let it be known that it’s far less important for me to be the first, than it is for me not to be the last.
So much to look forward to when it comes to the Vista Chamber of Commerce. As our community grows, our businesses grow. As our businesses grow, the Chamber grows. Let’s continue our growth together!

NV Lofts Infrastructure
Upgrades Benefit Vista
By Julie Smith Taylor
Did you know that Vista is ranked better than a B+ in terms of building desirability throughout San Diego County? According to Jim McMenamin, the VP of Forward Planning & Entitlement with Alliance Development Services, Inc. (ADS), Vista has become an increasingly desirable place to live and work in San Diego County from a building perspective.
“As a development company that specializes in income producing commercial real estate, we respond to trends,” says McMenamin. “Right now, people see Vista as a great place to live and work for a variety of reasons and we saw an opportunity to provide more affordable and attainable housing options here,” he explains. “Back in 2020, we submitted our proposal for NV Lofts, a new apartment complex at 1559 North Santa Fe Drive, approximately one mile north of downtown Vista. It was the first year of the Covid Pandemic and all of our meetings with City Staff, the Planning Commission, and City Council were all done remotely,” he says. “It was challenging, but I knew many of the players from past projects in Vista. I have a lot of respect for John Conley, Vista’s City Manager. He is a wonderful guy, a family man, a true professional who looks out for the City. He doesn’t always tell me what I want to hear, but I respect him and know that I will get the straight scoop from him, his staff, and City Engineer Greg Mayer.”
McMenamin explains that although there were no major challenges to the NV Lofts project, ADS took on some unexpected offsite requirements placed on them by SDG&E and the Vista Irrigation District (VID) to ensure their project was approved. “We had to underground and relocate existing SDG&E utilities that serve an area larger than our project,” he says. “We also had to replace an unexpected significant length of water lines for VID that also required potholing due to lack of drawings of existing infrastructure. The VID cost us more than $1 million in time and materials, but we believe in our project and know that the citizens of Vista will benefit from our investment long-term.”
ADS also proposed a density bonus project that ensures that three of the 60 Units in the NV Lofts project will be designated as affordable living units at the very lowincome category. As experienced builders and developers the Alliance team also believes it is important to provide ample parking for residents even if it is near a train line or public transportation. “We are still dependent on the automobile here in San Diego County so we ensured that our property features 83 parking spaces for our 60 units,” says McMenamin.
NV Lofts offers 6 studio apartments, 36 one-bedroom units and 18 two-bedroom units all with private balconies. The modern design also includes a central courtyard and common area with barbecues and seating. The property was designed by the Architectural Firm Steve Dalton & Associates.
NV Lofts is currently 58 percent leased with 35 rental agreements and 32 occupants. McMenamin adds, “This has turned out to be a really great project for us and we look forward to working on future projects in Vista.”
“Right now, people see Vista as a great place to live and work for a variety of reasons and we saw an opportunity to provide more affordable and attainable housing options here,”
Create with Clay 'n Latte
By Jennifer Madsen Jones
For 20 years Vista has been getting its art fix on with Clay ’N Latte. Located in Vista Village, Clay ’N Latte offers a perfect outlet for creative expression in a warm family atmosphere. Customers can find inspiration with pottery painting, choosing from a wide-ranging selection of pieces, glass fusing, specialty classes in different art mediums, as well as creating hand and footprint keepsakes. The best part is, all the supplies needed to create unique pieces of art, gifts, and mementos are right there in Clay ’N Latte’s ample studio space.
“I feel so proud that we bring art and fun not only to families, but the whole community,” says owner Becky Maiefski who opened the first Clay ’N Latte in Carmel Mountain in 1998. Born and raised in North County, Maefski had her eye on Vista for a second location. She opened the Vista store in 2004. Although both locations survived the Recession, Maiefski closed the Carmel Mountain location in 2015, choosing to focus all her attention on the Vista store, and the community she loved.
“The community has always been very supportive of us. In return, Clay ’N Latte loves to give back to Vista. We do many fundraisers, work with a number of schools making tile legacy walls, and love to participate in all the Vista functions.” When the community needed a creative outlet during Covid amid social distancing, Clay ’N Latte provided contactless art kits via pick up or delivery. Clay ’N Latte also offers summer camps for children 6-17 looking for fun activities to keep them busy and creative. “We look forward to it all year! I even have a few employees who attended my camp when they were kids, and now they help me teach it.”
Maiefski’s own daughter worked at the store in high school and college. Truly a family business, Maiefski and her husband built out the store themselves. Her

husband is often found fixing things around the shop. While Maiefski remains very hands on herself, Maiefski says her amazing staff are like family, helping her keep customers happily creating. “We love our customers and want them to feel like family in our store.”
In the back of the 50 seat Clay ’N Latte studio space, there is a dedicated room for birthday parties and other private events. That’s also where they hold the Paintastic Art Camp for kids, which they’ve been offering for 25 years. It’s the perfect place to hold team bonding events and office parties. With a kiln and glazing tank on site, all firing and finishing is done in the studio, so projects never need leave the shop until they are ready for pick up.

Mayor's Message
Mayor John Franklin
Dear Friends,
As the holiday season draws near, we at the City of Vista are reminded of how fortunate we are to be part of such a connected and thriving community. This time of year offers us the perfect opportunity to celebrate our shared accomplishments and we look forward to the promise of a new year.
I am thrilled to invite you to one of Vista’s most beloved traditions, the 66th Annual Christmas Parade, on December 7. With this year’s theme, "Christmas at the Movies," expect a parade full of creativity and holiday magic as local businesses and community members come together to showcase festive floats inspired by favorite films. The parade is a wonderful occasion for families, friends, and businesses to enjoy the holiday spirit and the heart of Vista.
In addition, the City of Vista will once again host the annual Jingle Terrace Live celebration at the Moonlight Amphitheatre, running nightly from December 6-21. This year’s event promises even more excitement, with an expanded vendor market and a kids' fun zone from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening. It’s a fantastic way to experience the season, support local vendors, and enjoy the holiday cheer in our community. For more information, visit moonlightstage.com.
These are just a couple of the festive events happening throughout Vista this season. For more holiday activities, visit the Vista Chamber of Commerce’s website calendar, where you can find information on all the ways to celebrate.
As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I, along with the Vista City Council and our dedicated City staff, would like to express how much we have enjoyed serving the residents and businesses of Vista throughout 2024. It has been
a year of growth, connection, and collaboration, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and success of our community. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to fostering prosperity, creating opportunities, and ensuring that Vista continues to be a vibrant and thriving city for all. We are excited about the future and all we will achieve together in the coming year.
As always, our local businesses are the backbone of this community. By shopping and dining locally this holiday season, we help ensure that our neighbors thrive and that Vista continues to flourish as a welcoming place to live, work, and celebrate.
We wish you and your families a joyful and peaceful holiday season. Thank you for making Vista such a wonderful place to call home.
Warm regards,
John

at Junmai Sushi Bar & Grill
By Jennifer Madsen Jones
If you didn’t know them, it would be easy to confuse Junmai Sushi Bar & Grill owners, Danny Yousif and Yousif Shamoon, not only because of their closely matched names. These life-long friends have been building their families and dreams together so long they speak for each other. That’s why it came as no surprise to anyone who knows them when they collaborated to launch a new concept in Japanese dining, nestled in the heart of Vista’s Shadowridge area, in June 2023.
“What sets Junmai apart from other Japanese-style restaurants is our commitment to creating a welcoming izakaya experience,” Danny explains. “An izakaya is a casual dining style where people gather to enjoy a diverse selection of small plates, sushi, and drinks in a relaxed, social environment.”
“Our inspiration for Junmai comes from a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and cuisine,” Yousif continues. “Our goal is to create a sense of authenticity and connection to Japan’s rich culinary heritage. We wanted to bring that same vibrant (izakaya) experience to our restaurant, offering not only our signature sushi but also a variety of shareable dishes that reflect the heart of Japanese pub culture.” Friends since the age of eight, with families of their own, it was natural for the pair to intentionally create a space for friends and family to come together, enjoy a variety of flavors, and partake in an unforgettable dining experience unmatched in North County. “We aim to provide not just a meal, but a memorable experience that brings people together.”
Junmai prides itself on being deeply rooted in the community. Their focus on bringing people together through food extends beyond the restaurant walls of their Shadowridge location. Whether its catering for weddings, corporate and private events, intimate dinners in someone’s home, or larger events, like a
recent music festival in San Diego, Yousif and Shamoon look at these moments of celebration as opportunities to build community. “We love bringing the Junmai experience to our customers wherever they are. We love being a part of our customers’ important moments and strive to offer an experience that reflects the warmth and diversity of the people we serve.”
Further deepening its ties to the community, Junmai prioritizes locally sourced ingredients, delivered daily, to provide the highest quality, freshest dishes to its customers, just as they would their own family. This commitment to sustainability, freshness, and local partnerships closely aligns with Junmai’s values, vision, and goals to build a dynamic community hub in Vista where guests can delight in first-class food in a friendly social atmosphere. “We encourage everyone to try our Special sushi rolls, as they truly showcase our creativity and dedication to flavor. Each roll is unique, combining fresh ingredients and bold flavors that reflect our izakaya concept. We believe there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy!”
Visit Junmai on S. Melrose in Shadowridge. To make reservations for any size table, or inquire about catering opportunities, call (760) 295-1039.

TEENY CANTINA Creating Your Most Memorable Events
By Ellizabeth Bickford
The Teeny Cantina is owned by Nataly and Chase Manary. Their cantina on wheels was a true labor of love for Nataly. After three years of tackling project after project, the Teeny Cantina opened in 2023.
Nataly said, “it was such an adventure”, “plugging away” ultimately led to this family-owned business. The beautiful Latin style inspired horse trailer, turned cantina on wheels, started with Nataly’s vision. A departure from the expected catering bar, her concept for a centerpiece cantina required determination and creativity. Now with one full year of service the Teeny Cantina is regularly booking events and they have started to see the fruits of their labor!
The Teeny Cantina has received a lot of support from the community and through social media! The Vista Chamber of Commerce reached out right away, they have been a useful point of contact for their business. The Chamber encourages connection and networking within the group, this is a great place for a new small business to start making meaningful connections.
The gorgeously restored trailer is a lovely backdrop for any event. Their cantina can be rented as a mobile bar with or without a bartender. Using their mobile bar for your special event will elevate your space immediately.
Booking a bar service or bartender can seem daunting, especially if this is your first experience. The Teeny Cantina works to put your minds at ease, they provide a libation liaison! Kayla Baker will guide you through the entire process of booking and curating your bar. They talk you through your event goals and objectives and look at what type of drinks and atmosphere the event is to provide. Kayla will help you create a craft cocktail or provide you a standard cocktail menu. It is all catered to your taste! Once you’ve created your menu, the libation liaison will provide you a shopping list. All alcohol is provided by the customer, this is like other dry hire bars.
On top of the traditional bar services, the Teeny Cantina provides a complimentary service for their customers, Nataly provides an Instagram video featuring your event! She takes it one step further for weddings saying, “The trailer is something old, the concept is something new, the trailer is your something blue, and it’s borrowed for the night so that checks off all the boxes for our brides.” If the mobile bar is too big for your event, do not worry, Nataly also offers two smaller bars. The De La Reina is a standalone bar with a beautiful blue and white background and the Barrel Oasis Bar is a rich and decorative bar featuring wine barrels.
In addition to creating memorable weddings, the Teeny Cantina works with several nonprofits. They are in their second year of supporting the Lions Club fundraiser. This event raises funds for eye exams in the community. As you can see, their business can work to fit the focus of a variety of events, from weddings, corporate functions, to fundraisers.
This winter consider booking the Teeny Cantina for your holiday parties. This beautiful mobile bar will leave a lasting impression on your guests and create a pleasing space. The Teeny Cantina services San Diego, Temecula, and Orange County. No service charge for travel within 25 to 30 miles from Vista. Book your event through a custom quote on the Teeny Cantina.com, all quotes are free and fully customizable.
Nataly and her family are thankful for the flexibility that this business has provided her. The path to this business was a long and winding one but they successful overcame all obstacles and brought the vision to life. Visit their Instagram: @teeny_cantina to appreciate the beauty of this passion project!

Vista’s First Fiestas Patrias Event is a Hit!
A new tradition is born! The Vista Chamber’s Latino Business Outreach (LBO) Committee proudly hosted its first Fiestas Patrias commemorating Mexico’s Independence Day to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that strengthens and enriches our city. Superintendent's Corner
Our district vision for all students is for every student to graduate as a resilient, agile learner and creative problem solver who navigates the world with confidence and kindness and eagerly embraces local and global challenges.
Vista Unified School District's Career Technical Education (CTE) programs are carefully designed to amplify this vision and revolutionize student learning experiences. Our new 9,000-square-foot facility at Rancho Buena Vista High School exemplifies our commitment to hands-on education.
This new facility is enabling our students to take on real-world challenges. This includes building mobile tiny homes for homeless veterans through the Warrior Village Project. This initiative not only hones construction skills but also instills a sense of pride and community service while honoring our veterans.
Our CTE courses lead to valuable industry certifications like NC3, OSHA 10, CPR, Serve Safe, FFA part 107, etc. that prepare students for immediate workforce entry or further education. The program's success is evident as students discover newfound passions and career possibilities.
We offer 25 different CTE pathways in our high schools, each representing talent, skills, and certification development that lead to gainful employment in our local and regional economy. By bridging classroom knowledge with practical applications, we're not just teaching skills – we're empowering the next generation of problemsolvers and community leaders.

Collaboration Creates New Educator’s Pathway at Trade Tech High
One of the best examples of collaborative and community-focused thinking among our Chamber members is the creation of North County Trade Tech High School’s (NCTTHS) Future Educator’s Pathway that launched in August. By partnering with leadership staff at Children’s Paradise Preschool and Infant Centers, they have created something really special for students interested in working with children as a career path after high school.
By Julie Smith Taylor
It’s been such a great process and we are very happy to see how many students have signed up...
“Julie Lowen, Founder of Children’s Paradise along with NCTTHS Founder Doreen Quinn saw an opportunity last year and planned a visioning session in the Fall of 2023,” says Chloe Medina, NCTTHS Principal. “We imagined what a collaboration would look like, how we could work together, and what we would need to add a Future Educator’s Pathway to our curriculum. We also arranged field trips to the Children’s Paradise location on Melrose Ave. for students to gauge the level of interest in a program like this,” she explains. The consensus was clear. Both sides were eager to commit to making this idea a reality.
“Julie generously offered to build out a comprehensive lab classroom setting on our campus where our students can work and learn in a space that replicates a preschool classroom at one of their facilities,” says Medina. “Our initial goal was to attract at least 12 students to the pilot program. Twenty-six students enrolled in the first cohort of the twoyear pathway, which is a very exciting sign that there is a lot of interest in the field. The classes are taught by an instructor with a CTE credential in Education, Child Development, and Family Services. We plan to continue growing the pathway into one of our signature offerings and a compelling reason for students to enroll at Trade Tech,” says Medina.
NCTTHS offers its students, in a more intimate school setting, (there are currently 150 students this semester) several career pathways from which to explore with the goal of not only earning a high school diploma but be trained and in some
cases certified to step into a living wage career right after graduation. Staff are in the process of articulating classes with Palomar so that students in the Pathway will have the opportunity to earn up to six college credits in the field.
Diane Prospero, Director of Child Development at Children’s Paradise is equally pleased with what has transpired so far. “It’s been such a great process and we are very happy to see how many students have signed up,” she says. “Students who visit us during field trips get to tour our classrooms, interact with different age groups on the playground, learn how the school operates, see what teachers really do and then participate in hands-onactivities. It’s a great way to really understand what it’s like to work in Child Development.”
Prospero says there has been a shortage of young people interested in becoming teachers in early childhood education since the pandemic. This program can help bridge that gap. “We hope that in their last semester at NCTTHS, students will beef up their resumes by spending a few hours a week at our facility to not only earn some additional service hours but gain valuable, hands-on experience to supplement their newly earned certifications.”
With so many caring and dedicated professionals involved in this partnership, the future is looking very bright for students at NCTTHS!
Did You Know…
• Students can enroll at Trade Tech at any grade level? 9th12th graders are welcome! We accept transfers from anywhere and have plenty of credit recovery options for those who need it.
• We are way more than a "trade" school? We offer a wide variety of career pathways as well as all the classes students need to meet A-G requirements to enroll at a four-year university upon graduation, if that is their goal.
• Every Trade Tech student has a Personal Learning Plan that supports them to achieve their individual post-secondary goals?
Operation HOPE–North
County
Providing shelter and support to families and individuals.
By Mary Ann Conover
Hard times don’t discriminate.
Operation HOPE–North County understands that an unexpected job loss, divorce, or other life disruption can happen to anyone – leaving some people on the verge of homelessness. “We are here to bridge that gap between insecurity and stability,” says Esperanza Zapico, Executive Director of this exceptional non-profit.
Operation HOPE–North County is a high barrier shelter, meaning everyone must pass a drug and mental health screening and agree to regular drug testing. “Our Steps to Independence program is designed to provide resources and support to clients who feel ready to take action to rebuild their lives,” says Zapico.” Our facility is designed to house those who have fallen on hard times, usually from unexpected circumstances. It could be because their low wage didn’t allow them to save, or cover rent. They may have been living paycheck to paycheck and suddenly lost their job. With the shortage of affordable housing, some clients can’t afford rent and come to us while living in their cars or on the streets.”
In 2003, the Vista City Council recognized a growing number of homeless families, and not enough resources to help them. The City reached out to the community to explore ways to find viable resources. A collaborative group of community representatives responded and partnered with the City to address the challenge. Operation HOPE became a lifeline for families experiencing housing insecurity. Initially, hotel/motel vouchers were issued for the colder months of the year before a shelter was found. With the help of local churches, a warehouse was modified in 2004 to house families and provide basic
"One of the greatest things I experienced at OHNC was the support from the staff during my postpartum depression. I never had that type of support with my other pregnancies; It was always just me. The staff was so helpful – not looking at me as a failure. Being here (at the shelter) humbled me, as they don’t go by looks or what you have, because we have nothing. I developed a sense of gratitude while here. Also, knowing the shelter was drug-free was so important because I am in recovery and want a new way for my kids; at the other shelters, a lot of people were still using drugs, and I knew I would struggle.”

accommodations from December through March. It was primarily run by volunteers.
Today, Operation HOPE-North County has 12 individual sleeping rooms in a building purchased from Vista Community Clinic in 2012. Through a capital campaign, the purchase, renovation and construction of the current campus was completed. The expansion to year-round services was launched in August 2016, and is now serving North County communities.
Although Operation HOPE-North County provides critical shelter and support, only 37% of its funding comes from government sources. "The majority of our funding relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses in the community," explains Zapico. "Every donation plays a crucial role in keeping our doors open and allowing us to continue providing life-changing services to families in need.”
Zapico explains that Operation HOPE–North County’s mission is to create a safe, supportive and caring environment, leading to stabilization and independence. “Our trained staff works closely with clients during their stay which can range from 3 to 6 months. During this time, a case manager guides them with a customized plan designed for the client’s needs.”
“This could be the first time anyone talked to them about finances, resume

writing or even conflict resolution,” adds Zapico. “We not only work to increase a client’s knowledge but also instill a self-confidence that improves their self-awareness and decision-making.”
School aged children also benefit from after school programs that include support in reading, science, art, mindfulness, multicultural and emotional awareness, and sports. “We encourage community members who love working with children to consider joining our volunteer team,” adds Zapico.

I highly recommend vista plumbing as they have been great to work with. Brooke was helpful and did all the scheduling and Ray was prompt and did clean efficient work and they got our re route done quick and I appreciate it. Good job and call vista plumbing if you want a honest and good plumbing company to work on your house. - Robert A.
We noticed water on the floor of the garage and could not figure out where it was coming from. We feared the worst – a slab leak. We called Vista Plumbing and Ray was here within the hour. He was very knowl edgeable and courteous and suspected that the leak may be coming from under the water heater platform. After a quick cut in the drywall his suspicions were confirmed. He had it fixed 30 minutes later. I would recommend Vista Plumbing to anyone. Thanks! - Tom N.
My home is no stranger to pin-hole leaks (this is the 4th one). Vista Plumbing came out in less than an hour and was done in an hour for a reasonable price. Very fast, efficient and courteous. I will definitely use Vista Plumbing again. - Janet
