We are so excited to celebrate the 249th Birthday of our Nation, with our spectacular 4th of July festivities, and we hope you will join us!
All of us here at the Chamber love the 4th of July, and to me, Redmond is the epitome of Americana. With our Flag lined streets, our huge patriotic parade, and of course a spectacular Fireworks display at 10pm. You really can’t get anymore all American than that and we hope you can be a part of the celebration.
Redmond really is an amazing community to behold, especially when it’s decked out in nearly 2,000 flags, and truly earning the recognition of Flag City USA. As tradition, the Chamber is responsible for putting up the flags on the 4th, and we can surely use your help if you are willing to join us. We meet at the North end of Les Schwab at 6am to put them up, and then again at 4pm to take them down (this gives everyone plenty of time to run home and barbeque).
The Chamber is honored to once again host the Annual 4th of July Parade sponsored by Redmond Industrial Park, with the theme of “Made in America”. Last year this exciting parade drew 6,800 spectators

to downtown, with 18% of them being from a distance greater than 60 miles from Redmond (statistics provided Placer AI).
With our parades getting larger each year we need help and have partnered with the Redmond Kiwanis Club. With this partnership we can continue to provide a safe and enjoyable event. It takes a large group of dedicated individuals to make the parade happen including the Chamber team, Kiwanis Club of Redmond, Redmond Parks and Rec, the City of Redmond, the Redmond Police Department and the hard-working team at the Redmond Public Works Department. Parade registration starts at 8am at the corner of 10th and Birch and the parade will start promptly at 10am and run from Dogwood, down 6th Street, to Forrest.
Capping off the festivities, is the Redmond Fireworks show generously sponsored by High Desert Aggregate and Paving. The fireworks will be launched from the Deschutes County Fair and Expo grounds, and can be viewed from all over Redmond, there is no parking at the Fairgrounds. Fireworks are the perfect way to end the day you don’t want to miss them.
July continues with many great events and

Greetings To All Of Our Amazing Members!
Summer is here and we at the Redmond Chamber of Commerce couldn’t be happier! It’s a busy time of year for us, but we are thrilled to bring you many community events that you, your family and ultimately, your business can get involved in or just partake in. This brings me right to the topic I was going to discuss this month… business and the benefits of community involvement. In the last couple of months, we have talked about increasing visibility and exposure through advertising opportunities at the Redmond Chamber of Commerce as well as the importance of networking. Community involvement ranks high up there with those topics and is definitely worth the time to dive in a little deeper on.
In the era of social responsibility for businesses, an emphasis on community involvement goes a long way. It allows a business to demonstrate its company values and express a spirit of giving back to the community. Long gone are the days when a company could roll into town, advertise, then sit back and enjoy the benefits.
Encouraging employees to volunteer or participate in community happenings.
Supporting a local charity.
Sponsoring an event.
Sharing expertise to non-profit organizations that lack resources.
Community involvement is one way that companies can earn their customers by showing that they care. However, community involvement isn’t just about being active in the community just for the sake of doing so. Participating, volunteering, or getting involved in local community events can bring numerous benefits which directly…and significantly… impact businesses themselves. Here are a few of those benefits:
Community Networking & Collaboration
Increase Employee Morale Through Volunteering Attract & Keep Local Talent
Increase Brand Awareness
Build Trust With A Community
There are several ways a business can get involved in the community. Some of these ways include the following:
Hosting a booth at a local community event.
Knowing when and where to get involved in community activities is vital to gaining maximum benefits. As a member of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, you have access to many opportunities for getting involved in community events that it hosts such as the Annual Awards Banquet, Redmond Business Summit, Music On The Green, the 4th Of July Parade, Redmond Brewfest & Night Glow, the Annual Golf Tournament, Goblins & Ghouls Golf Tournament, Trick Or Treat On 6th Street, Holiday Village Market, the Starlight Parade, The Giving Tree, etc. As a matter of fact, we have just kicked off our Music On The Green concert series featuring six separate live music performances spanning from late June to early September. Not only is this a fantastic event to bring the family to, it is a great opportunity to sponsor or host a booth at the venue. It’s not too late to participate, so give us a call at the office if you have questions regarding this or any other events
hosted by the Redmond Chamber of Commerce.
If there is guidance that we can offer when it comes to deciding what community events and activities you or your business can participate in or support, we are happy to offer assistance. As always, here’s to a successful month!

7 AI Tools Redmond Businesses Should Know About
AI isn’t just tech jargon anymore—it’s something more and more Redmond businesses are using every day. Whether you run a café downtown, manage a construction firm, or handle marketing for a nonprofit, AI tools can help you save time, work smarter, and offer better service. Here’s a look at some practical AI solutions that can make a real difference for your business.
1. AI Chatbots: Your On-Demand Assistant
Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini (Google), Microsoft Copilot, and Claude are changing the way businesses communicate internally and with customers. They can help you quickly answer questions, draft emails, create code snippets, summarize documents, and brainstorm ideas. Many Redmond businesses are also exploring customized chatbots to handle FAQs or basic support on their websites—saving staff time while improving customer service.
Local tip: Avoid pasting confidential client or business information directly into public chatbots. Instead, use them for general research, drafts, or templates.
2. Grammarly: Polished Communication
Strong writing matters, whether you’re sending proposals to clients or posting updates on social media. Grammarly uses AI to catch spelling, grammar, and tone issues, helping you deliver professional emails and marketing materials. Its premium features can even suggest improvements to clarity and engagement— perfect for businesses aiming to impress.
3. Otter.ai: Effortless Meeting Notes
Otter.ai is a lifesaver for busy professionals in Redmond who juggle back-to-back meetings. This AI-powered tool can transcribe conversations, create summaries, and even integrate with tools like Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Instead of scrambling to take notes, you’ll have a searchable record of important discussions—whether they happen during a Chamber Lunch & Learn or a one-on-one client meeting.
4. Fireflies.ai: Advanced Meeting Assistant
Similar to Otter, Fireflies.ai goes a step further by offering live transcription, meeting summaries, and the ability to translate over 100 languages—great for businesses working with multicultural teams or clients. Fireflies integrates with calendar tools and conferencing apps, giving you searchable transcripts to revisit decisions and action items.
If you’re already using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, you may have noticed new AI features appearing in familiar apps like Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel. These tools can help draft documents, analyze spreadsheets, or summarize long emails. As these AI integrations expand, knowing how to use them can help your business save time and make more data-driven decisions.
6. Adobe Creative Cloud AI Features: Design Made Easy
For businesses that rely on marketing materials or social media graphics, Adobe apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat now include AI-powered tools. You can remove backgrounds in seconds, enhance images, or quickly summarize lengthy PDFs. Adobe Firefly also lets you generate images from text prompts— perfect for creating unique visuals for your website, social media, or print materials.
Good news for Redmond businesses: Adobe has pledged not to use your data to train its AI models, which helps protect your intellectual property.
7. Canva Pro: Fast, Professional Designs
Canva Pro has become a favorite for many local businesses because of its ease of use. With AI features like Magic Design, you can generate polished marketing assets—flyers, social posts, or presentations—in minutes. Canva’s templates also help you stay on-brand with your company’s colors and fonts, making it a valuable tool for busy business owners without a dedicated design team.
When it comes to promoting your business in Redmond, you want strategies that deliver results without draining your marketing budget. That’s why the Redmond Chamber of Commerce’s email advertising program stands out as a smart, cost-effective way to reach the people who matter most—local business owners, professionals, and community decisionmakers.
The Chamber’s Weekly Update email is sent every Monday morning to over 1,400 engaged subscribers, each of whom has a vested interest in Redmond’s business community. This isn’t a generic list—these are business leaders who open, read, and act on what they see. With an average open rate of 46.5% and a click-through rate of 7.2%, the Weekly Update far exceeds industry standards, where typical open rates hover between 20–25% and click rates average just 2–3%. Those numbers alone show that your advertising message
is much more likely to be seen and acted upon when placed in the Chamber’s email.
Unlike social media feeds where your ad competes with countless posts and distractions, or print ads that are easy to overlook, email offers a direct line into your audience’s inboxes. Readers choose to subscribe to the Chamber’s updates, which means they are already interested in what’s happening in Redmond and are more likely to pay attention to your message. It’s targeted, permission-based marketing at its best.
Another key advantage is the exclusivity of advertising placements. Each Weekly Update offers just three ad options— one Sponsored Content placement, one Premium Top Banner Ad, and one Lower Banner Ad. With only one advertiser featured per placement per week, your business won’t get lost in a sea of competing ads. Instead, you’ll stand out, making your message more impactful.
Sponsored Content is particularly effective for businesses looking to tell a story, share an offer, or highlight an event. With a 600x400 image, 100 words of custom messaging, and a clickable link, it’s an opportunity to engage readers with both visuals and content. Premium Top Banner Ads ensure your business is the first thing readers see when they open the email, maximizing brand recognition. Meanwhile, Lower Banner Ads offer an affordable way to get your message in front of a local audience, perfect for businesses looking for budget-friendly exposure.
Beyond these placements, the value of Chamber email advertising lies in its community credibility. By advertising through the Chamber, you signal that your business is invested in Redmond and committed to supporting the local economy. That builds trust, strengthens your reputation, and encourages readers to choose your services over out-of-town competitors.
Finally, the Chamber’s email ads are
affordable, starting as low as $25 per week for a Lower Banner Ad, making this opportunity accessible to small businesses and startups as well as established companies. With a required threeweek commitment, advertisers benefit from consistent exposure, helping build familiarity and drive conversions.
In a time when every marketing dollar counts, the Redmond Chamber’s email advertising program offers a proven, targeted, and cost-effective way to connect directly with the local business community and get measurable results.
