The SAINT ANNA LAKE, located in the crater of mount Ciomatul Mare, is the only volcanic lake in Central and Eastern Europe, being one of the most visited travel destination of Szeklerland. When the weather is fine, especially without wind, you can see bubbles of gas rising from the bottom of the lake, which are actually manifestations of post-volcanic activity.
LACUL SFÂNTA ANA, situat în craterul muntelui Ciomatul Mare, este singurul lac de origine vulcanică din Europa Centrală și de Est, fiind unul dintre cele mai vizitate obiective turistice ale Ţinutului Secuiesc. Pe timp frumos, mai ales fără vânt, se pot observa bule de gaz, care se ridică de pe fundul lacului și care sunt de fapt manifestări ale activității post-vulcanice.
A SZENT ANNA-TÓ, a Nagy-Csomád kráterében található, Közép- és Kelet-Európa egyetlen épen maradt vulkáni eredetű tava, egyben Székelyföld egyik leglátogatottabb turisztikai célpontja. Ha jó az idő, különösen szélcsendben, megfigyelhetjük, ahogyan az utóvulkáni tevékenység nyomán a tó fenekéről a víz felszínére tőrnek a gázbuborékok.

In 2011, the largest statue of Jesus in Eastern Europe was built on Gordon hill in Harghita, between Odorheiu Secuiesc and Praid. THE HEART OF JESUS STATUE is about 22 meters high. Inside the statue, there are metallic spiral staircase that you can climb to the top of it and from where you can admire the wonderful view around.
În anul 2011, pe dealul Gordon din Harghita, aflat între Odorheiu Secuiesc și Praid, a fost ridicată cea mai mare statuie a lui Iisus din Europa de Est. Denumită STATUIA INIMA LUI IISUS, construcția are o înălțime de aproximativ 22 de metri. În partea de sus a statuii, cei dornici de aventură, au parte de o priveliște minunată.
2011-ben Hargita megyében, a Székelyudvarhely és Parajd között található Gordon-hegyen építették fel Kelet-Európa legmagasabb, egész alakos Krisztus-ábrázolását. A JÉZUS SZÍVE-SZOBOR ÉS KILÁTÓ mintegy 22 méter magas, belsejében fémből készített spirális lépcsőszerkezet vezet fel a szobor fejéhez, ahonnan lélegzetelállító kilátásban van része a vállalkozó szelleműeknek.

MINI TRANSYLVANIA PARK is the only multicultural, thematic mock-up park in Romania, where visitors can see a scaled-down copy of Transylvania’s most important historical buildings. THE SALT MOUNTAIN from Praid is one of the most interesting attraction of Transylvania. This geological reserve, which covers 66 ha of land, lies on the south-western part of Praid bath resort, at 576 meters above sea level. The Salt Mountain is said to have 3 km depth and has an elliptic shape, its diameters being 1.2-1.4 km long.
MUNTELE DE SARE de la Praid este una dintre cele mai spectaculoase zone din Transilvania. Suprafața de 66 hectare a rezervației naturale se află la sud-vest de stațiunea turistică Praid și se suprapune peste domul de sare Muntele de Sare (576 m). Adâncimea acestui sâmbure de sare este de 3 kilometri, având o formă elipsoidală, al cărui diametru este de 1,2 și 1,4 kilometri.
A PARAJDI-SÓHÁT Erdély egyik leglátványosabb természeti ritkasága. A 66 hektáros természetvédelmi terület a Parajdtól délnyugatra elhelyezkedő, 576 méter magas Só-hegyen található. A Só-hegy közel 3 km mélyre nyúlik a föld alá, enyhén ellipszis alakú, átmérői 1,2 és 1,4 km.

The ŞUMULEU CIUC PENTECOST PILGRIMAGE began in 1567, a vow of pilgrimage of szeklers for the protection of their Catholic faith, which has become the most significant pilgrimage of Hungarians since 1990. About 600,000 people visit Șumuleu Ciuc each year.

LA ȘUMULEU CIUC a început în anul 1567, fiind un jurământ de pelerinaj al secuiilor pentru protecția credinței lor catolice, eveniment care a devenit cel mai semnificativ pelerinaj al maghiarilor din 1990. La Șumuleu Ciuc vin anual circa 600.000 de oameni.
A CSÍKSOMLYÓI BÚCSÚ a székelyek az 1567-ben kezdődött, katolikus hitük megvédéséért hálát adó fogadalmi zarándoklata, 1990-től újraéledve mára már az összmagyarság legjelentősebb zarándoklatává vált. Évente körülbelül 600 000 hívő látogat el Csíksomlyóra.
In the Southwestern part of Harghita county, 25 km away from Odorheiu Secuiesc and 18 km away from Cristuru Secuiesc, lies INLĂCENI, the Europa Nostra award-winning labyrinth village. The age of the houses is measured in centuries, most of them rural architecture monuments raised in a time when the planks were joined together with wooden slats.
În sud-vestul judeţului Harghita, la o distanţă de 25 de kilometri de Odorheiu Secuiesc şi la 18 kilometri de Cristuru Secuiesc se află localitatea INLĂCENI, satul labirint, câștigător al premiului Europa Nostra. Vârsta caselor din Inlăceni se măsoară în secole, majoritatea fiind monumente de arhitectură rurală ridicate pe vremea când scândurile se îmbinau între ele cu şipci din lemn.
Hargita megye délnyugati részén, Székelyudvarhelytől 25, Székelykeresztúrtól pedig 18 kilométerre található ÉNLAKA, az Europa Nostra-díjas labirintus falu. Itt a házak korát évszázadokban mérik, nagyrészük a falusi építészet műemléke, hiszen még azokból az időkből származik, amikor a deszkákat lécekkel rögzítették egymáshoz.

THE FORTIFIED CHURCH IN DÂRJIU, declared a UNESCO monument in 1999, is one of the most important fortified churches in Transylvania. The most valuable assets of the monument are the wall paintings from the 15th century, of which the most important is the series of paintings depicting the legend of Saint Ladislau/László.

The MOHOS SWAMP, because of its picturesque landscape, is one of the rarest swamps of the world. It is located at 1050 meters above the sea level, at the feet of the Mohoș Peak (1177 m), and the Cocoiza Hill (1116 m), covering 238 ha of the land. The swamp emerged over the former Mohoș lake, which has been drained.
TINOVUL MOHOȘ este unul dintre cele mai pitorești locuri din lume. Este situat la 1050 de metri altitudine, fiind localizat în al doilea crater al aceluiași vulcan, Masivul Ciomatu. Tinovul s-a format pe fostul lac Mohoș, apa acestuia fiind drenată prin eroziunea regresivă a pârâului Roșu.
A MOHOS-TŐZEGLÁP látványában a világ egyik legritkább tőzeglápja. 1050 méter tengerfeletti magasságban helyezkedik el, az 1177 m magas Mohos-csúcs lábánál. A havasi tőzegláp az egykori Mohos-tó helyén alakult ki, itt ma már csak nagyrészt tőzegmohával benőtt lápos terület maradt.

The FRANCISCAN CHURCH OF ȘUMULEU CIUC is one of the most famous architectural monuments, being the most important place of pilgrimage in Transylvania. The main adornment of the church is the wondrous statue of the Mother of God, placed on the main altar of the church. It is the largest votive sculpture known in the world, having a total height of 227 cm.

ȘUMULEU CIUC este unul dintre cele mai cunoscute monumente arhitecturale, fiind cel mai important loc de pelerinaj al Transilvaniei. Cea mai importantă bijuterie a bisericii este Statuia Maicii Domnului făcătoare de minuni, aşezată pe altarul principal al bisericii. Este cea mai mare sculptură votivă cunoscută în lume, având înălţimea totală de 227 cm.
A CSÍKSOMLYÓI KEGYTEMPLOMot Sarlós Boldogasszony tiszteletére építettek, egyik legismertebb építészeti műemlékünk, egyben Erdély legfontosabb zarándokhelye, Mária-kegyhely. A templom ékessége és kincse a csodatevő Szűzanya-szobor, amelyet a templom főoltárán helyeztek el. 2,27 méteres magasságával a világ legnagyobb fogadalmi szobra.

The MIKÓ FORTRESS CASTLE is the oldest and most important historical monument in Miercurea Ciuc. It bears the name of his builder, Hídvégi Mikó Ferenc, and in the documents of the time is being mentioned also as Mikó’s new fortress. In 1970, after a general restoration, it became the headquarters of the Szekler Museum of Ciuc.
CASTELUL MIKÓ este cel mai vechi şi cel mai important monument istoric al oraşului Miercurea Ciuc. Poartă numele constructorului său, Hídvégi Mikó Ferenc, iar în documentele vremii fiind menţionat şi ca cetatea nouă a lui Mikó. În 1970, după o restaurare generală a devenit sediul Muzeului Secuiesc al Ciucului.
A MIKÓ-VÁRként ismert erődítmény Csíkszereda legrégebbi és legfontosabb történelmi műemléke. Az építtető, Hídvégi Mikó Ferenc nevét viseli, a korabeli dokumentumokban pedig úgy szerepel, mint Mikó új vára. 1970-ben, egy általános restaurálás után itt kapott helyet az 1930-ban alapított Csíki Székely Múzeum.
The RED LAKE is one of the largest natural dam lake in Romania and it is part of Bicaz Gorges-Hășmaș National Park. It is located at the foot of the Hăşmaşul Mare Mountain, near the Bicaz Gorges. The lake was formed in 1837, when a part of the Ghilcoş Mountain slid down towards the foot of the Șuhard Massif after storms and torrential rains, blocking the Bicaz river valley.
LACUL ROȘU este unul dintre cele mai mari lacuri de baraj natural format pe teritoriul României și face parte din Parcul Național Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș. Este situat la poalele muntelui Hășmașul Mare, în apropierea Cheilor Bicazului. Lacul s-a format în anul 1837 prin surparea unei porțiuni din muntele Ghilcoș spre poalele masivului Suhard, în urma unor furtuni și ploi torențiale, barând astfel valea râului Bicaz.
A GYILKOS-TÓ egy természetes torlasztó a Hagymás-hegységben, a Békás-szoros közelében. A Gyilkos-kő oldalán felhalmozódott agyagos lejtőtörmelék nagy esőzések hatására lezúdúlt a völgybe, nekicsúszott a Cohárd tömbjének, elzárva több patak folyását.
In the Hăşmaşu Mare Massif, on the Southern slope of the Șipoș mountain at over 1,600 meters, there is a speleological wonder, a gem dug in limestone, the ŞUGĂU CAVE. The main attraction of the cave, famous for its legend, is the Lake of Lovers, in one of the chambers. It is said that those who come here and drink from the lake’s water will remain in love forever.
PEŞTERA ŞUGĂU este situată în grupa centrală a Carpaților Orientali, în Munții Giurgeului, Masivul Șipoș, la altitudinea absolută de 1600 m. Principala atracţie din peşteră, vestit datorită legendei ce îl învăluie, este Lacul Îndrăgostiţilor, aflat într-una dintre salile peșterii. Se spune că cei care vin aici şi beau din apa lacului vor rămâne îndrăgostiţi de-a pururi.
A Nagy-Hagymás hegytömbjében, a Sípos-kő déli részétől mintegy 1600 méterre található egy barlangászati csoda, egy igazi álomvilág mészkőből, a SÚGÓ-BARLANG. A barlang egyik attrakciója a Szerelmesek forrása, amelyet a hozzá kapcsolódó legendák burkolnak titokzatos ködbe. A monda szerint, akik innen vizet merítenek, örökké szeretni fogják egymást.

THE ARAGONITE MUSEUM OF CORUND is the first and only museum of its kind in Europe. The museum presents the history and technique of aragonite polishing, an original collection of pieces that were made in the same building, some 100 years ago. It is open between 1st of May and 1st of November.
MUZEUL DE ARAGONIT DIN CORUND este primul și unicul muzeu de acest fel din Europa. Muzeul prezintă istoria și tehnica șlefuirii aragonitului, și are o colecție inedită de piese ce au luat naștere în aceeași clădire, unele chiar cu 100 de ani în urmă. Este deschis între 1 mai și 1 noiembrie.
A KORONDI ARAGONIT MÚZEUM Európában egyedülálló. A múzeumban az ásvány történetétől indulva megismerkedhetünk annak kitermelési, feldolgozási folyamatával, majd a belőle készülő tárgyakkal, amelyek között 100 évnél idősebb darabok is láthatók. Minden évben május 1. és november 1. között látogatható.

It is no secret that the unique microclimate in the PRAID SALT MINE helps in different diseases. The underground visiting area is on ‘Level 50’ which is on 120 m deep from the surface. The average annually underground temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
Nu este un secret faptul că şederea în microclimatul SALINEI PRAID ajută în diferite probleme de sănătate. Baza de agrement este amenajată la “Orizontul 50”, care se află la o adâncime de 120 m de la suprafaţă. Temperatura medie anuală din subteran este de 16 grade Celsius.
Nem titok, hogy van néhány betegség, amelyre kifejezetten jótékony hatást gyakorol a PARAJDI SÓBÁNYA levegője. A föld alatti látogatási tér az „50-es Szinten” található, amely 120 m mélyen helyezkedik el a felszínhez viszonyítva. Az éves átlaghőmérséklet a bányakamrában 16 Celsius-fok.
THE SZEKLER MEMORIAL IN NYERGES marks an important moment in the history of the Szeklers, one of the last military confrontations in the Revolutionary and Independence War of 1848-1849. Here, about 200 Szekler soldiers, who fought in the Hungarian revolutionary army against the imperial Tsarist and Austrian armies, met their end in 1849.

CAȘIN marchează un emoţionant moment din istoria secuilor și anume una dintre ultimele confruntări militare din revoluţia şi războiul de independenţă de la 1848-1849. Aici şi-au găsit sfârşitul circa 200 de ostași secui, care în anul 1849 au luptat în cadrul armatei revoluţionare ungare împotriva armatelor imperiale ţariste şi austriece.
A NYERGES-TETŐI SZÉKELY HŐSÖK EMLÉKMŰVE
az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc egyik utolsó katonai cselekményéhez kapcsolódik. Itt teljesedett be ugyanis a sorsa annak a 200 székely vértanúnak, akik 1849-ben a magyar forradalmi hadtestben harcoltak az osztrák és orosz haderő ellen.

Lupeni is the native village of the great writer of the Szeklers, Tamási Áron. The TAMÁSI ÁRON MEMORIAL HOUSE is the birthplace of the writer, an old building, dating back over 150 years. Inaugurated on 24 September 1972, the memorial house displays furniture, personal objects, manuscripts, works, letters, and photographs of the writer.
Lupeni este satul natal al marelui scriitor al secuimii, Tamási Áron. CASA MEMORIALĂ TAMÁSI ÁRON este o construcție veche, datând de mai bine de 150 de ani, fiind de altfel și casa părintească a scriitorului. Inaugurată la 24 septembrie 1972, casa memorială expune mobilier, obiecte personale, manuscrise, opere, scrisori și fotografii aparținând scriitorului.
Farkaslaka a székely nép legnagyobb írójának, Tamási Áronnak a szülőhelye. A TAMÁSI ÁRON-EMLÉKHÁZ 150 évesnél régebbi épület, amely az író szülőháza is egyben. Az 1972. szeptember 24-én felavatott emlékházban az író által használt bútorzat mellett a személyes használati tárgyak, kinyomtatott művek, levelek és fényképek is láthatók.

In the Vărşag forest, along the Fântâna Mare brook, is the VĂRŞAG WATERFALL. Fueled by 7 springs, the stream’s waters drop from a height of 7 meters, forming a beautiful two-step cascade. The water curtain stretches over a length of 200 meters. From here, it goes to Târnava Mare.
În pădurea localității Vărșag, pe pârâul Fântâna Mare, se află CASCADA VĂRȘAG. Alimentate de 7 izvoare, apele pârâului cad de la o înălțime de 7 metri, formând astfel o frumoasă cascadă în două trepte. Perdeaua de apă se întinde pe o lungime de 200 de metri, și de aici apele pârâului se îndreaptă spre râul Târnava Mare.
Székelyvarság erdejében, a Nagykút patakon található a CSORGÓKŐ-VÍZESÉS. A hét forrásból gyarapodó patak vize 7 méter magasból lezúdúlva gyönyörű kétlépcsős vízesést képez. A vízfüggöny teljes kiterjedése 200 méter. Innen a Nagykút patak vize a Nagy-Küküllő felé veszi az útját.

ZETEA DAM forms the only artificial lake in the upper Târnava Mare area. The work on the dam began in 1976, and finished only in 1992. At first, the fauna was made of migratory fish from the brooks, but the lake was populated with other smaller species. You can fish both from the shore and from the boat as well, which are mainly used by fishermen who use spinners or fly fishing.
BARAJUL ZETEA formează singurul lac artificial din zona superioară a râului Târnava Mare. Lucrările de construcţie la baraj au început în anul 1976, și s-au finalizat abia în anul 1992. La început fauna piscicolă era alcătuită din peşti migratori din pârâuri, dar în timp lacul a fost populat şi cu alte specii mai mici. Se poate pescui atât de pe mal, cât şi din barcă.

ZETEVÁRALJAI VÍZTÁROZÓ a Nagy-Küküllő felső folyásának egyetlen mesterséges tava. A gát és a tó építése 1976ban kezdődött, és csak 1992-ben fejeződött be. Kezdetben a patak állományát a folyó halai képezték, később kissebb testű halakat telepítettek oda. Horgászni a partról és csónakból is lehet.

The WILD FERENC VIA FERRATA route was opened in autumn 2016, in Șuhardul Mic mountain (1345m), near Red Lake, in Bicaz Gorge. It is named after a well known local climber, the author of the only topo map of Bicaz Gorge. The route was built by the Dancurás Mountain Rescue Team from Gheorgheni, Harghita county.
Traseul VIA FERRATA WILD FERENC a fost inaugurat în toamna anului 2016 în Șuhardul Mic (1345 m), lângă Lacul Roșu, în Cheile Bicazului. Este denumit astfel după fostul pionier al alpinismului transilvănean, alpinistul Wild Ferenc, autorul singurei hărți topografice a Cheilor Bicazului. Traseul a fost proiectat și executat în totalitate de Echipa Salvamont “Dancurás” din Gheorgheni.
A Hargita megyei Gyilkos-tó fölött magasodó Kis-Cohárdon (1345 m) 2016 őszén avatták fel a WILD FERENC VIA FERRATA mászóutat. Ez a mászóút az erdélyi hegymászás úttörőjéről, Wild Ferencről, a Békás-szoros egyetlen topográfiai felmérőjéről kapta a nevét. Az útvonalat a gyergyószentmiklósi Dancurás Hegyimentő Csapat építette ki.
