The limited series is called the Phantom “Tempus Collection”, making only 20 bespoke models that will encompass various aesthetic and intellectual themes relating to time and the cosmos.

According to Rolls-Royce, the design of these Phantoms is inspired by the astronomical phenomenon, the pulsar, unknown until 1967 and found only in the deepest reaches of space (the nearest yet discovered is 1,680 trillion miles from Earth). These very dense, white-hot stars emit jets of electromagnetic radiation in extremely regular pulses, making them some of the most accurate clocks in the universe.

While 2020 was a difficult year for everyone in the travel industry, Pacific Sands saw a rapid increase in traffic since the re-opening of businesses in June, followed by an especially busy fall season. The staff had to quickly adapt and change the way they operate. They moved to a “contactfree” experience for their guests with the implementation of their “mobile concierge” using text messaging. While the resort prides themselves as the only all-suite resort in Tofino, providing a luxurious and comfortable stay with an abundant range of amenities, maintaining a similar level of service through the current rules of social distancing, presented a challenge. Sabrina explains, “we've had to disallow the housekeeping staff from going into the rooms. Instead, we've placed a bin system so guests can place anything they want replaced inside the bin. There's also a little checklist, if they need anything replenished, they simply put it outside their door.” This new way of service seems to be working well for them, feedback from guests has been encouraging - “they seem to enjoy the less intrusive nature of their stay at the resort while still being offered similar services.” Families with little children need not despair either - the resort continues to run its regular kids camp, but with added resources and instructors to provide the needed distancing. They’re also adding more fire pits to allow for families to enjoy fireside lounging while social distancing.

COMBINE: A First Art Fair for Vancouver’s North Shore Launches at Griffin Art Projects November 29th-December 5th, 2021. There was something obvious that these four progressive art galleries from Vancouver had in common when the pandemic started: None of them was going to be able to attend any of the international art fairs that they had included in their circuit. Gone were NYC, Toronto, San Francisco and Belgium (to name a few). Then one thing came to mind: Why not Vancouver? When looking for a partner that could embrace their vision, Griffin Art Projects, a non-profit public art gallery and residency, founded by long-term West Vancouver residents Henning and Brigitte Freybe, seemed like a perfect fit as a collaborator on the project. The result is COMBINE Art Fair, which will be held at the residency space at Griffin Art Projects (located at the foot of Pemberton and Welch St in North Vancouver). The Griffin is a respected collector-driven non-profit institution on the West Coast, comprised of exhibition and residency spaces.
