This Month’s Major Accomplishments: Marketing and Outreach committee developed outreach materials to publicize Holiday Light Exchange. Submitted and approved by SCE. Received 1000 strands of LED holiday lights for HLE program. The City of Porterville and City of Visalia had information meetings with its staff and SCE to better understand how the partnership functions and the opportunities it provides. Partners approved a contract for service with Professional Exchange Service Corporation to develop a website for the Partnership Three Partner Jurisdictions and Implementing Partner attended the October 29th SCE/SCG LGP Meeting in Monrovia, CA/ Key Issues or Emerging Concerns: Several cities continue look to conduct audits in order to prepare for EECBG applications and funds. Upcoming Milestones The partnership has focused efforts on various funding mechanisms beyond the EECBG Funds. A regional approach with the cities and counties for competitive funds is anticipated as to capture the strength in the numbers and regionally specific projects. The City of Visalia, on behalf of the participating jurisdictions, has submitted a letter of intent to pursue additional funding through the State Energy Program. Meetings scheduled with the County of Kings and the City of Hanford, to describe how the VIEW partnership functions and the opportunities it provides. All Partner Jurisdictions will participate in the 2009 Holiday Light Exchange program to develop awareness and promote energy efficiency within the Jurisdictions.
