Program Name: LGEAR: San Joaquin Program Number: SCEXXXX Quarter: Fourth Quarter 2009 1.

Program Description: LGEAR is a partnership program structure, which involves the creation of energy partnerships with cities and local governments to set energy efficiency goals and generate measurable, verifiable energy savings through identification of specific energy efficiency projects and community outreach activities. Projects are referred to Southern California Edison’s (SCE) core programs and can be residential or non-residential, including small, commercial and industrial businesses, municipal and other governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations. Low income and demand response programs will also be included.

2. Administrative Activities: The following activities took place in San Joaquin: o Ongoing monthly meetings with the partnership implementer, the San Joaquin Valley Clean Energy Organization for program planning and implementation. o Three partner jurisdictions and implementer traveled to attend the All Partners meeting in Monrovia, California. o November partner meeting included a presentation from Gary Levingston regarding on-bill financing. Partner jurisdictions were very pleased with the option and look forward to more information as it becomes available. o December partner meeting included a presentation from Duke Ashlock and Janelle Villalba from the SCE AgTAC about bringing AgTAC classes out of the center and into the communities. After initial misunderstanding from jurisdictions the concept was well received, and classes in the cities and counties were planned for the new year. 3. Marketing Activities: The San Joaquin Valley: o Contracted with a graphic designer for a custom logo. o Contracted with Professional Exchange Service Corporation to build a Partnership website to feature: incentive/rebate programs, conservation tips, community calendar, blog, and email notification sign up. Jurisdictions worked with implementer to provide community information, stories, and images. o Created custom marketing collateral for LED Holiday Light Exchange. HLE received local print, radio, web, and television coverage. o Began compilation of community events in the eight partner jurisdictions, and planning for a marketing and outreach budget.
