An Exclusive Session with Dr. Vijender Singh Chauhan For UPSC Aspirants

VidyaGyan, an initiative by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, was established in 2009 It is a unique residential leadership academy in Uttar Pradesh, India, that provides free education to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged rural backgrounds VidyaGyan focuses on rural India development by empowering students to achieve academic excellence and become future leaders in various fields, fostering social transformation and equal opportunities.
All VidyaGyan alumni and UPSC aspirants recently had the opportunity to attend an exclusive UPSC session with Dr. Vijender Singh Chauhan. An esteemed Indian scientist and Rhodes Scholar, Dr Chauhan has dedicated his career to the advancement of genetic engineering and biotechnology He is renowned for his significant contributions and has played a pivotal role in the development of a groundbreaking recombinant vaccine for malaria. As a prominent educator and scholar, Dr Vijender Singh Chauhan carried out the session to boost the preparation of the aspirants and shared invaluable insights for anyone aiming to crack the coveted UPSC exam The attendees got the chance to learn from the best and take their preparation to the next level.
The session participants gathered at the VidyaGyan Dulhera Campus on May 9th 35 alumni were present at the venue, a few of them from Ajmer, along with several participants from the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi NCR, and a couple of Delhi University colleges Class 12th students from VidyaGyan School, Dulhera, and VidyaGyan School, Bulandshahr, also joined in to make the most of this opportunity. More than 30 UPSC aspirants also joined virtually.
Shiv from the VGD '16 batch, one of the participants of the session, traveled all the way from Manipuri to attend the session. His dedication and commitment to expanding his knowledge in
the field of UPSC were truly commendable He arrived around 4:00 a m at the HCL office and was passionate about this session. Niharika, also from the same batch and a student at Ashoka University, was also in attendance It was wonderful to see her active involvement in such informative sessions.
During the session, Dr Vijendra presented a clear picture of the UPSC preparation journey and offered insights into the importance of having a backup plan He emphasized the need for aspiring candidates to consider alternative career options and not solely rely on the UPSC path. His guidance shed light on the uncertainties and challenges that candidates may face, highlighting the significance of having a well-thought-out backup plan to fall back on.
The session was truly eye-opening, as it helped attendees gain a more realistic understanding of the UPSC examination and its associated challenges and also talked about career planning and preparation strategies.
