President's Message

Dear Members,

As we embrace the arrival of fall, it’s wonderful to welcome you back to our cozy Club, where dining by the fireplaces is once again a delight, even as temperatures linger on the warmer side. If you haven’t yet explored our dinner menu, I wholeheartedly encourage you to join us tonight! We’re kicking off Happy Hour with buck-a-shuck oysters starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Menu Tasting Buffet Dinner featuring new dishes like Seasonal Rarebit, Berkshire Pork, Seared Shrimp & Salmon, the ever-popular Vicmead Curry, complemented by seasonal sides. It promises to be a truly delicious evening. If you plan to join us for dinner, please make a reservation—walkins are always welcome.

This time of year is also peppered with the annual budget meetings, and I want to extend my gratitude to all members involved in Club governance. Your contributions at the committee level to help define capital needs, opportunities to improve, and operational considerations, along with the tireless work of our Finance Committee, ensure we navigate each year successfully. Having sat in the room as an invited guest at many of these meetings, I am reminded that it is a delicate balance of impactful amenities, balancing cost, and ensuring investments

in our Club’s future. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

As the weather changes, we’ll see a shift in our activities. Please note that the outdoor tennis courts will be closing for the season on November 4th, and golf will transition to its Winter Schedule shortly thereafter on November 24th. Our Paddle and Squash seasons are upon us, and I encourage everyone to check out the weekly offerings on page 6 to rekindle your love for these sports or try something new!

Lastly, don’t forget about our Thanksgiving Take-Out Menu on page 11, available for orders until November 20th. After your Thanksgiving feast, consider relaxing with us for Calzones & Wing Night on Friday, November 29th. It’s a wonderful way to unwind with family and friends post-holiday… and not have to do the dishes.

Wishing you all a beautiful fall season at the Club!

Warm regards,

In Memoriam
