BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA MINISTRY FOR PEOPLE'S POWER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMUNIQUÉ The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the statements broadcast on radio by the Secretary of State of the United States on 17th April 2016, seeking to undermine the democratic stability of Venezuela.

The US government repeats its intrusive and interventionist obsession against Venezuela, violating the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and in clear contravention of international law.

Secretary Kerry's statements show the participation and responsibility of the US government in the interventionist and insurrectional plan against democracy in Venezuela, and encourage the violent and extreme to resort to unconstitutional means to overthrow the legitimate government of President Nicolas Maduro.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will respond in all scenarios that the US government promotes to attack once again against democracy in our country, while we uphold the rule of national and international law to preserve the integrity and peace of Venezuela.
