President Hugo Chávez the humble peasant who was born on July 28, 1954, managed to become a figure of universal projection. A thorough review can be made of all the Venezuelan presidents before Chávez and none of them generated so much interest in the world. An investigation carried out at the beginning of this decade yielded the conclusion that Chávez was already at that moment, on a world scale, the president that has had many books, theses and other academic works written about him, overcoming even one of his great mentors, Fidel Castro, and the charismatic Frenchman Charles De Gaulle. In 2010, it was registered the records of 3 ,133 works. In the eight years since then, the volume of books and academic papers must have increased exponentially. If you add to that the tons of words that have been written (and continue to be written) about Chávez in the media of the entire planet, it is understood why anywhere in the world, if you say that you come from Venezuela and moreover- In whatever language -someone will exclaim: "Oh, Chávez, Chávez!" The masses make history, but particular charismatic men and women can play a pivotal role, especially when they believe in the people and mobilize the masses to take action on their own behalf. Hugo Chávez was one of those rare revolutionary leaders. He was especially important for Latin America and the Third World for taking the baton from Fidel Castro in Cuba of being a loud, fearless, and vocal opponent of Yankee imperialism. On a world-historical scale, Chávez was of enormous significance because he and his Bolivarian Movement put revolutionary socialism back onto the global agenda. Reactionaries and imperialists are waiting to exploit any factional disputes in the post-Chávez era. However, more than details or a blueprint about how capitalism could be

transcended, a mythic vision — or what Alain Badiou calls a “Truth” — was what was needed in those very dark times at the end of the last century. Hugo provided it. He told it like it is. Who will ever forget his amazing truth-telling from the podium at the United Nations when he talked about the smell of sulfur leftover from “El Diablo” Bush’s appearance on the previous day and held up a book by Chomsky to recommend for the clapping UN delegates to read? Epigraph: The enemies, who literally hated him to death, continue to fight daily with his ghost and continue to be defeated
The President of the Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, invited all compatriots and comrades to commemorate the Sowing of the Comander Chávez on March 5th in the cultural events to be held throughout the nation. “We are on the eve of the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the transition to another plane of what was, and is, our father, our brother, our guide, our beloved commander Hugo Chávez. I want to invite you to remember him, who gave us his life, and to whom we owe our eternal gratitude", he said. The head of state, quoted a phrase of the commander made in the election campaign of the presidential elections of October 8, 2012 in which he said " the true patriot must feel the Fatherland in the viscera (...) and must take care of the independence of Venezuela”. In this sense, he affirmed his commitment to the legacy of Chávez despite the difficulties placed by sectors adverse to the Bolivarian Government. "Our Father, Hugo Chávez, we owe him all the tributes, but today I just want to tell you that all of us, all of your people, we were you, we are you, and we will be loyal, until the end of time, together with your teachings to face the difficulties and keep fighting”, he said during his message to the nation. www.mppre.gob.ve
