The Venezuelan government supports the sovereignty of the Syrian people and urges the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to work more objectively.

Venezuela's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Rafael Ramirez, rejected on Tuesday paragraphs 8 and 10 of the Presidential Statement on Syria after considering that they violate the sovereignty and self-determination of its people.
