Authorities confirmed that the National Constituent Assembly will be installed today in Caracas. The 545 members of the constituent assembly received their accreditations issued by the National Electoral Council and starting today, they will initiate their functions.

The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, announced for today a popular mobilization to accompany the installation of the Constituent Assembly.

Maduro requested peace and serenity, and called for the people not to respond to provocations or violent episodes promoted by the right wing.

6. Rajoy proposed to the EU a blockade of officials

More than 8 million Venezuelans elected the members of the National Constituent Assembly in historic elections held Sunday. The decisions issued from the constituent assembly cannot be objected by any of the Public Powers that will have to continue coexisting as institutions of the State.

The National Constituent Assembly will make political, economic, social and juridical decisions.

The Venezuelan Head of State requested confidence in the government and the work of the National Constituent Assembly. Maduro denounced once more the permanent aggressions of the United States against Venezuela´s democratic system and pointed out the bravery of the people of Venezuela who massively participated in July 30´s elections.

US threatens Venezuela with sanctions on Constituents

The Venezuelan government alerted that the United States intends to impose coercive unilateral sanctions against the 545 members of the National Constituent Assembly, elected by the Venezuelans on July 30. Caracas alerted about the disproportionate measure in a communication issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These measures represent an outrageous challenge against the will expressed by more than 8 million Venezuelans in the elections held Sunday. The Treasury Department of the United States sanctioned the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, the fourth dignitary who receives a measure of this kind. Kim Jong-un from North Korea, Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe and Bashar Al Assad from Syria have also been sanctioned.

World bank refuses to transact Venezuelan money The President of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered every citizen of that country to not sign commercial agreements with the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro. Through the Treasury Department, Trump emitted a direct sanction against the Venezuelan president and accused him of being a dictator.

The sanction doesn´t only mean that the US citizens will be forbid- den to sign agreements with Caracas, but Washington ordered to block financial transactions with the government of Venezuela.

Maduro is the 4th president sanctioned by the US, after dignitaries of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, Robert Mugabe from Zimbabwe and Bashar Al Assad from Syria. Caracas minimized the effect of the sanctions claiming to have international allies like Russia and China.

The US blocks bank routes of the world for Venezuela not to meet international commitment The spokesman denounced that all banks of the world with a platform related with the United States bank, have the order of blocking the Venezuelan money. Venezuela cannot even pay debts of imports in the food and pharmaceutical sectors because the US dominated the commercial routes of the main shipping companies of the world.

The blockades cause the risk rating agencies to increase their alerts for the providers to abstain from negotiating with Caracas or for them to do it under the condition of imposing astronomic levels in the costs of the products and their interests. Currently, there are international Latin American banks with Venezuelan money in their accounts, but they maintain it repressed, explained the consulted source.

The international financial blockade orchestrated by Washington is restraining the Venezuelan government from meeting its international commitments, confirmed a source involved in the case. The blockade doesn´t even allow bank triangulations to mobilize the foreign currency through the European banks or for Venezuela to meet its obligations related with external debt and its interests.

US admitted to do everything possible to overthrow Maduro The United States Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson revealed that Washington evaluates all kinds of possible ways to overthrow the government of Nicolas Maduro. Tillerson admitted that Washington hopes that the pressure exerted against Caracas may convince Maduro to leave by his own account.

Tillerson said in a press release that the different intelligence agencies of the United States are studying the way of forcing the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro to abandon power. The Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Moncada denounced that Tillerson words are the greatest threats of the US against Venezuela issued since 1902.

Moncada alerted that before assuming his position in Washington, Tillerson was head of the oil transnational Exxon Mobile and uses his interests to attack Venezuela. Caracas reviews its relations with Washington, after proving that that country finances the wave of attacks that have caused more than 100 deaths in Venezuela. Since the arrival of Trump at the White House, more than 100 meddling actions have been implemented against Caracas.

Rajoy proposed to the EU a blockade of officials Spain proposed before the European Union the removal of the authorizations for people involved with the government of Nicolas Maduro to travel to that country.

The proposal was confirmed by the head of the government of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, in an encounter with the press during his vacation retreat in Galicia, northwest of Spain Rajoy proposed the removal of the visa of officials of the Venezuelan government, before the head of the European Parliament, Federica Mogherini.

The European Union did not issue any decisions in relation to Spain´s proposal, but announced that they will disregard the decisions of the National Constituent Assembly that will be installed today in Caracas. www.chavezvive.info.ve

New Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza President Nicolas Maduro yesterday appointed Jorge Arreaza as the new Foreign Minister of Venezuela, replacing Samuel Moncada.

Maduro explained that Moncada will be serving in Washington as Deputy Minister of North America and Ambassador to the OAS. Jorge Arreaza served as Minister for Mining and as Vice President of the Republic, among other positions in the government.

China supports the National Constituent Assembly The government of China expressed support for the National Constituent Assembly in Venezuela and called for the countries of the region to respect the sovereignty of the South American nation.

China expressed satisfaction for the elections held Sunday and considered that they were held in a stable manner.

China expressed its wish for the Venezuelan government and opposition to hold a pacific dialogue and to resolve their internal issues. China´s Foreign Ministry expressed that the country promotes the principle of non interference in other countries` internal affairs.and advocates for respect and equality . www.chavezvive.info.ve

Russia requested respect for Venezuelan sovereignty Russia advocated for peace in Venezuela and respect for the National Constituent Assembly to be installed tomorrow in Caracas.

Spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, reiterated to the press Moscow´s call for peace and for the compliance with the Constitution of that South American country. In a recent communication, the Russian Foreign Ministry called for the international community to put an end to their actions against Venezuela and the attempts of promoting chaos in that nation.

Smartmartic had been audited before J-30 The president of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, described as irresponsible the statements of the representative of Smartmartic, Antonio Mugica, who affirmed that there was a manipulation of the number of participants in the elections of the National Constituent Assembly held Sunday.

“It is an opinion without precedents from a company whose only task is to provide services of technical support that are not determining in the results”, said Lucena. She expressed that the statements of Mugica are issued “in a context of permanent aggression initiated two weeks ago against the Venezuelan Electoral Power”.

Smartmatic participated in all the inspections of Sundays elections, revealed Lucena, in her message to the nation.

Opposition party confirms their return to democratic path Deputy of the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD), Henry Ramos Allup, gave an assurence that the political party Democratic Action (AD), will participate in the elections of governors scheduled for December 10. Allup pointed out that he spoke as Secretary General of Democratic Action.

This is the first party of the opposition that publicly announces its participation in the elections scheduled for December. “Democratic Action will participate in the elections for governors, mayors and then the presidential elections”, he expressed. One of Africa’s most divisive figures, Kagame is seen by many as an incorruptible and visionary leader who has brought security and development to a nation shattered by civil war and mass killings, yet he is reviled by others as a ruthless authoritarian propped up by a gullible and guilty international community.

Only two opposition candidates have been allowed to stand against him in this week’s poll, and neither is expected to make any significant impact.

Esperance Nyirabyabuze, a 46-year-old farmer, had travelled two hours by boat and on foot to reach the rally. “I came because he loves us. He gave us cows, brought schools for our children, a road, and kept everything peaceful. I can never imagine having another president,” Nyirabyabuze said.

At one vast rally organised by the ruling Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) party earlier this week in Burera, a northern district, Kagame told crowds that “elections mean choice”, exhorting them to “choose what is good for you”.

As she spoke, a party official warmed up crowds, telling Kagame, who travelled with a fraction of the attendants and vehicles that accompany most African heads of state, that those present “remember the day when we were refugees … you opened our minds to think big”.

The poll in Rwanda is one of three major elections in sub-Saharan Africa this month, which are seen by experts as indicating the direction of political travel across the continent. Others are taking place in Kenya and Angola. In recent years, democratic gains

Kenyans go to the ballot 8th of August-2017 The Kenyan Constitution requires there to be a general election on the second Tuesday of August in every fifth year. Kenyans will be heading to the polls on August 8th for elections that have been closely followed not just in the Horn of Africa country but across the world.

Election posters have replaced consumer goods ads on street billboards as politicians step up their campaigns to win over the 19 million registered voters.

It is the sixth presidential election since the country of more than 45 million people embraced a multiparty democratic system in 1992.

The election is largely being fought over the economy and the courting of the youth vote. President Kenyatta is promising to create 1.3 million new jobs, reduce the cost of living and create a more inclusive economy by reducing economic inequalities.

Mr. Odinga, 72, is promising to fight corruption, create jobs for young people and set up programs to improve food security. Both men will need to do something to address Kenya's troubling youth unemployment rate, which stands at 22.2%.

Approximately 80% of Kenya's population is younger than 35, according to one report, while up to 51% of its 19.6 million registered voters are aged between 18 and 35.

Another factor likely to have an impact on people's voting choices is the country's severe drought, which has led to skyrocketing food prices and higher rates of inflation. www.edition.cnn.com
