African Union celebrates 64th Anniversary The world pays homage to the great men and women such as Kwame Nkrhuma, Gamal Nasser, Sékou Touré, Julius Nyerere and the great fighters like Thomas Sankara, Agostino Neto, Amilcal Cabral, Nelson Mandela, Patrice Lumumba, Wangari Maathai, among many sons and daughters of Africa Revolutionary and protagonists of important socio-economic achievements that brought progress to their people and political sovereignty to their Nations. Venezuela as an Observer Member of the African Union recognizes it as the most important organization on the continent in the search for peace, unity, representation and defense of the interests of the African countries that comprise it; As well as its active and decisive presence in multilateral organizations in order to reach solutions that contribute to peace and global development. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratifies the paths of friendship and cooperation with the countries of Africa, consolidated by President Nicolas Maduro and planted with deep love for Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, who always affirmed that the African Continent was the true Mother Country, of people who fight for their freedom and independence with courage and determination.
