Venezuelan authorities determined that each drone used in the attack against Nicolas Maduro was charged with one kilogram of C4. Interior Minister, Nestor Luis Reverol, informed that one of

the drones flew over the Presidential tribune, but the detonator didn’t activate because the inhibitor equipment managed to disorient the machine. The investigation is still ongoing.

It is presumed that the extremist group that executed the attack is linked with

So far there are six people detained which will be accused for betrayal to the homeland, aggravated intentional frustrated homicide, terrorism, criminal association, frustrated homicide with severe lessions and throwing an explosive device in public meeting.

Authorities precised foreign links

Venezuelan authorities established the international connections of the terrorist group who attempted to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro, Attorney General Tarek William Saab, confirmed on Monday. The Attorney warned that the attack not only intended to kill President Nicolás Maduro, but they also wanted to assassinate all the Military High Staff and the Heads of the government’s institutions that were in the Presidential tribune. According to the first phase of the investigation the group which assumed the attack is related to powerful sectors in Colombia and the United States. Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, directly accused Juan Manuel Santos of ordering his assassination. This was denied by Bogota which allegates that the Colombian Head was attending family matters at the moment of the attack. The attack against Maduro was assumed by the National Soldiers
