Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, dennounced that the main objective of the attack perpetrated on Saturday was to assasinate President Nicolas Maduro. Padrino Lopez warned on Sunday that the terrorists also seeked to aniquílate the country’s institutionality because the maximum

representatives of the Venezuelan State were in the presidential tribune. The Defense Minister informed that the seven wounded that the attack caused are being atended and are not in danger. Padrino Lopez clasified the attack as severe and rejected the violent factors that insist in maintaning an anti democratic agenda in

the country. The Head of Defense reiterated that several material authors from the attack were detained and called to recover normality in the country. The High Military Staff of the National Bolivarian Armed Forces was also in the Presidential tribune.

Venezuela’s Attorrney General, Tareck William Saab, will inform on Monday the names of the material authors of the attack perpetrated against President Nicolas Maduro. The Attorney General confirmed the arrests but initially decided to omit their identity until the investigation was more advanced. The initial inquiry demonstrated that the order to kill the Venezuelan President came from Bogota and from Florida in the United States. A Venezuelan extremist group was attributed the attack against Nicolas Maduro, in an operation called Ave Fenix. Venezuelan journalist, Patricia Poleo, read, from the United States the statement from this organization which is integrated by active military officers in the Bolivarian Armed Forces.
