North Carolina-based Sharpe Bros. had a productive fourth quarter as it finished a large number of resurfacing projects in Alamance & Guilford Counties. They have also been working on some larger projects as a subcontractor. Those include a two-mile new construction and resurfacing project in Randolph County, and a 1.6 mile new construction project in Winston-Salem.

V&G Puts Finishing Touches On Rockingham Bypass

Vecellio & Grogan has completed more than seven miles of bypass in Rockingham, NC, part of a new four-lane, mediandivided freeway (future I-73/I-74 bypass).

The project required 7.3 million cu. yds. of excavation, and included approximately 80 ft. of fill to bring the entire area up to road grade after completion of the underground utitilities.

To ensure proper drainage of the site, six box culverts were constructed, including a triple-box culvert which was the last to be completed.

The $146 million project began in 2021 and is one of the largest roadway projects in Vecellio & Grogan's vast portfolio of work. The new roadway is scheduled to open in Q1 2025.

There Is No Substitute For Experience

In any business, experience is important to being successful, and it is critically important in the multiple industries supported by Vecellio Group companies. That is why they all place a heavy emphasis on training, career development, and employee retention… all key aspects of building an experienced workforce.

I take great pride in the fact that, in 2024, Vecellio Group team members have more than 10,500 years of combined experience working within the road and marine construction, quarry production, and petroleum/energy services industries. For our management teams, it means knowing we have loyal and capable teams who always do the right thing. For our customers, it means the highest quality work is being performed on their projects.

For our employees, it means an opportunity to grow professionally and have a stable, long-term career.

In 2024, management made significant additions to employee programs that include an enhancement to the company's 401k plan moving to 100% match for up to 4% of employee contributions. We also added cash awards for various employee service anniversaries, and enhanced vacation policies.

These programs were created for the benefit of all team members. We encourage every member to take advantage of all financial and health savings programs for their benefit, as well as the benefit of their families.

Every year we recognize our long-term team members who are celebrating 20, 30, 40, and even 50 years with the Company. Individuals who have achieved these accomplishments in 2024 are recognized later in this issue. Please join us in congratulating all those celebrating anniversaries over the past year.

Ranger Construction Supports Local Toys For Tots Campaign For Children In Need

In December, Ranger's Central Division employees made it their mission to help make the holidays a little brighter for local disadvantaged children.

Employees in the Winter Garden and Ft. Pierce, FL offices went on a shopping spree for new toys, books, games, and stuffed animals to

help children in their areas experience some joy and happiness that they all deserve during the holiday season.

Their heartfelt and selfless efforts helped to bring smiles to young faces throughout the area at a time when they need it the most. Thank you to all who participated in making this possible.
