I was intending to purchase two bags of sunflower seeds for $1 and then get cash back as I have done without question or issue at every other 7-11 I’ve ever been to in my life. So I thought the guy (apparently his name is Noah) was just making it up on the spot because he had some sort of prejudice towards me. I didn’t argue, but returned later in the day when another clerk was there and tried to do the same transaction and did so without a problem (bought $1 sunflower seeds & got $10 cash back). Since I was in the area this morning to get my car worked on, I decided I would try one more time and see what happened. This time it was a NEW rule. The “volunteer” lady said that you can’t even use a credit or debit card for a purchase without $2 minimum. That’s where this conversation begins....
