Taraka yoga studio follows a holistic approach focused on offering advanced practices that adhere to the traditional disciplines of yoga that originated in India. The word “taraka” means “star or light perceived during deep meditation.” When its owner Mark Hanuman decided to create his community, he already had over 20 years of practicing yoga. “Here at Taraka, we are a family or a tribe, if you will, that helps each other work on ourselves,” he explains. Currently, Taraka has five guides and it offers classes that include vinyasa, rocket yoga and dharma, among others.

El estudio de yoga Taraka tiene un concepto holístico enfocado en ofrecer prácticas avanzadas de esta disciplina tradicional originaria de la India. La palabra “taraka” significa “estrella o luz que se percibe durante la meditación profunda”. Cuando su propietario, Mark Hanuman, decidió crear su comunidad a través de este estudio, ya tenía más de 20 años practicando yoga. “Aquí creamos una familia y una tribu que busca maneras de trabajar en nosotros mismos”, explica. La Chingona is a restaurant offering contemporary coastal cuisine influenced by the Pacific coast of Mexico. The Díaz family’s focus is on recreating some of the traditional recipes prepared by their grandmother, while adding a fresh new twist. Some of the highlights on the menu are the Aguachile de Tripa with Tuna (inspired from Mazatlán, Sinaloa), the Pescado a la Talla (which is representative of Acapulco, Guerrero) and a Pasta with Shrimp and Chilorio (a traditional recipe from the state of Sinaloa).

La Chingona es un restaurante que ofrece cocina costeña contemporánea con influencia de la costa del Pacífico. La familia Díaz, propietarios de este ameno lugar, se enfocó en recrear algunas de las recetas tradicionales que eran preparadas por su abuelita, pero las mezclaron con una atractiva propuesta ecléctica. Entre los platillos que ofrecen destaca el Aguachile de Tripa con Atún (el cual tiene influencia de Mazatlán, Sinaloa), el Pescado a la Talla (que es representativo de Acapulco, Guerrero) y una Pasta con Camarón y Chilorio (receta cien por ciento del estado de Sinaloa).

Por su parte, el gastro bar ofrece una coctelería mayormente basada en la época de la Ley Seca de los Estados Unidos, con especialidad en los whiskeys. Actualmente, el anfitrión y socio del proyecto, Juan José Orraca, promociona un menú a precio especial de comida corrida (lunes a viernes) y los fines de semana ofrece uno de tres tiempos que semanalmente recorre la gastronomía de un estado de México.

With more than 17 years of experience in the beauty industry, Ulises Zavala leads Ulí Studio, a beauty salon that offers personalized services such as haircuts, color, and barbershop stylings, among others. Originally from the state of Michoacán, Zavala studied at the best California beauty schools. “To enhance hair and skin care, I only use organic and biodegradable products.” he explains. Zavala is well-known for pampering each of his clients, and his philosophy is to create an environment that favors positivity and the self-esteem of each client that enters his salon.
