When looking for places to stay for vacation to disconnect from today’s busy lifestyle, it is increasingly common for travelers to seek a space to energize the body and spirit. This was precisely the type of place Christina Gooding and John Huddart decided to create when they formed their project: La Joya Sayulita.

“My husband and I had both participated in spiritual retreats in Yelapa, and realized how much we loved the experience. It was during those incredible and magical moments of healing that we came up with the idea for La Joya and knew that Sayulita would be the perfect location,” explains Gooding.

Al momento de buscar opciones de hospedaje para vacacionar y desconectarse de la rutina diaria, cada vez es más frecuente decantarse por espacios que contribuyan a energizar el cuerpo y espíritu de sus visitantes. Esto fue precisamente lo que hicieron Christina Gooding y John Huddart, cuando decidieron darle forma a su proyecto: La Joya Sayulita.

“Anteriormente, mi esposo y yo ya habíamos ido a retiros espirituales en Yelapa, por lo que realmente nos encantaba vivir la experiencia. Puesto que disfrutamos de increíbles y mágicos momentos de sanación, se nos ocurrió la idea de La Joya. En la búsqueda de la ubicación perfecta, decidimos que Sayulita sería el mejor lugar para establecerlo”, explica Gooding.

Since its construction, the owners of this boutique hotel were clear about what they wanted offer: “We wanted each room to feel like an integral part of the environment, inspired by the surrounding jungle and ocean. And everything had to be made in Mexico, from the floor to the works of art, as well as the carpentry.”

Almost a year after its opening, this unique hotel made up of 10 cozy bungalows, two houses, and a three-bedroom villa, is focused on the personal growth and total relaxation of its guests.

The amazing team that makes up La Joya Sayulita, also includes manager Luca Giannetti and chef Jorge Luis Miramontes.

Desde su edificación, los propietarios de este hotelito tenían claro lo que deseaban ofrecer: “Queríamos que cada habitación se sintiera como parte integral del entorno, así como de la jungla y el océano. Además, todo tenía que estar hecho en México, desde el piso hasta las obras de arte, así como la carpintería”.

A casi un año de su apertura, este alojamiento compuesto de 10 acogedores búngalos, dos casitas y una villa con tres habitaciones, está enfocado en el crecimiento personal y descanso total de sus huéspedes, pues lo mismo pueden disfrutar de una buena hamaca que de los servicios de un lujoso y reconfortante spa.

El equipo que conforma La Joya Sayulita, entre ellos el gerente Luca Giannetti y el chef Jorge Luis Miramontes, es parte integral de la experiencia que se vive dentro de estas instalaciones.
