INTRODUCCIÓN
A lo largo de este portafolio se presentarán algunos de los proyectos que he realizado durante mis estudios universitarios en la Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM). En el transcurso de mi carrera he desarrollado una gran pasión por la arquitectura y todos los niveles y etapas que se experimentan en los proyectos. No solo he desarrollado proyectos residenciales sino que también he explorado con diseños urbanos, edificios de uso mixto, edificaciones de servicio público y de más. Aquí se presentan las etapas de los proyectos desde la primera fase de conceptualización, a través de diagramas y análisis hasta el desarrollo del proyecto. Creo que la arquitectura es la base de todo, gracias a esta podemos crear y desarrollar ideas y conceptos que solo eran parte de un proceso conceptualizado, gracias a la arquitectura podemos darle paso a nuevos proceso creativos e innovadores de desarrollar el concepto de edificar. Throughout this portfolio I will present a series of projects I have developed in my degree studies in Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM). In the course of my career, I have developed a great passion for architecture in all the levels and stages that are experienced in projects. Not only have I developed residential projects, I have also explored though urban designs, mixed-use buildings, public service buildings and more. Here, the stages of the projects are presented from the first phase of conceptualization, through diagrams and analysis, to the overall development of the project. I believe architecture is the base of everything, thanks to this, we can create and develop ideas and concepts that were only originally part of a conceptualized process, thanks to architecture, we can give way to new creative and innovative processes while developing the concept of building.

TEATRO DOS RIOS
Se trata de un edificio en donde se realizan diferentes actividades, además de ser un teatro con capacidad para 390 personas. Cuenta con un restaurante para el público en el nivel inferior y taquillas con acceso a teatro, así como una sala de exposición para futuras obras. Se puede acceder a los vestíbulos de todos los niveles que conducen al teatro desde el lado norte del complejo, aquí se puede disfrutar de la obra para posteriormente tomar un café y disfrutar del restaurante con terraza en el 6to piso. It is a building where different activities are carried out, in addition to being a theater with capacity for 390 people. It has a restaurant for the public on the lower level and ticket offices with access to the theater, as well as an exhibition room for future works. The foyers of all levels leading to the theater can be accessed from the north side of the complex, here you can enjoy the play and later have a coffee and enjoy the restaurant with terrace on the 6th floor.

En el análisis de la morfología, podemos apreciar 6 diferentes zonas de tejido urbano en el área de estudio. Las cuales se organizan en 3 diferentes tipos de de tejido urbano.

PROPUESTA USOS DE SUELO Y ALTURAS EXISTENTES
EDIFICIOS A INTERVENIR
Se propone un nuevo uso de suelo donde se concentra, a lo largo de las zonas, comercio y servicio. Se implementa mayor uso de vivienda unifamiliar en la zona 3 así como vivienda multifamiliar. En las zonas 1 y 2 sólo se propone vivienda unifamiliar.
Se seleccionan los edificios con mayores alturas y áreas para posteriormente modificarlos. Asimismo se eliminan edificios para permitir el paso peatonal a las calzadas a través de las manzanas.

Se proponen nuevas banquetas y uso de la calle principal a intervenir. Un solo carril y banquetas de uso peatonal la mayor parte del dia. Nueva propuesta de altura en base al nuevo uso de suelo e intervenciones en los edificios
Inclusión de áreas verdes en la nueva morfología. Sector 1- Edificios de uso multifamiliar, áreas verdes y espacios recreativos con mayores dimensiones. Volúmenes de mayor dimensión debido al uso de suelo: vivienda, servicio, oficinas, etc.
NUEVA PROPUESTA DE SUSTRACCIONES EN VOLÚMENES Sustracciones en el interior de los volúmenes para disminuir la masividad e implementar mejor uso del asoleamiento y vientos. Se generan sustracciones en los edificios en la parte inferior, creando cantilevers que hacen el trayecto por la calle principal más agradable Subtractions inside the volumes to reduce the massiveness and implement better use of sunlight and winds. El predio se encuentra frente a la calle Río Orinoco, colindante con un parque propuesto en el masterplan que conecta con la calle posterior, Río Mississipi, dándole el nombre al proyecto “Teatro Dos Ríos”. Se plantean una serie de espacios que conectan la vida pública con el espacio un tanto más privado del teatro. Según la propuesta de zonificación en la primera fase del proyecto, se implementa el uso de suelo mixto para procurar un espacio con un recorrido constante y abierto al público. El teatro colabora para crear un ambiente agradable para el público y los artistas, y se proporciona una cercanía entre los usuarios y el escenario. Se implementa la conexión con el exterior por medio de ventanales de piso a techo, proporcionando un fluidez del espacio mucho más transitable.

The property is located in front of Río Orinoco street, adjacent to a park proposed in the masterplan that connects with the later street, Río Mississippi, giving the project its name “Teatro Dos Ríos”. A series of spaces are proposed that connect public life with the somewhat more private space of the theater. According to the zoning proposal in the first phase of the project, the use of mixed land is implemented to provide a space with a constant route and open to the public. The theater collaborates to create a pleasant environment for the audience and the artists, and provides a closeness between the users and the stage. The connection with the outside is implemented through floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a much more passable fluidity of the space.

Se logró crear el pabellón que fue diseñado con un algoritmo digital y se llevó a su producción a escala real. Gracias a las distintas curvas y posicionamiento de los módulos se logró que este pabellón tuviera un juego de alturas así como una serie de juegos creados con luz y sombra, ayudando a que este tuviese armonía con su alrededor. Este tiene la función de descanso y relajación para los usuarios. Asimismo se logró que tuviera rigidez y resistencia gracias a los materiales utilizados y el modo en el que fueron empleados así como la planeación de el acomodo de los componentes para llegar al resultado final. It was possible to create the pavilion by designing a digital algorithm and brought to its full-scale production. Thanks to the different curves and positioning of the modules, it was possible that this pavilion had a series of heights as well as a series of shapes created with light and shadow, helping it to have harmony with its surroundings. This has the function of rest and relaxation for users. Likewise, it was possible to have rigidity and resistance thanks to the materials used and the way in which they were used, as well as the planning of the arrangement of the components to reach the final result.

CASA DE LA CULTURA VISTA MONTAÑA
Se trata de un edificio en donde se realizan diferentes actividades tales como yoga, danza folklórica, clases de guitarra, pintura, dibujo y manualidades con barro y plastilina. Consta de tres niveles, un teatro con un aforo para 60 personas y una sala de exposiciones temporales de 136 m2. La asistencia mensual de visitantes al año de acuerdo a un registro en el 2014 es de 100 personas. Buscamos crear un recorrido a través del edificio desde que se accede a él. Existen espacios públicos a nivel de calle para que exista una vida nocturna dentro del predio y a lo largo de la zona. Implementamos tres volúmenes principales, el primero se encuentra a nivel de calle y es espacio público, cuenta con las oficinas del centro cultural y un pasillo que conecta la calle a lo largo dando espacio para accesar a la cafeteria, la estacion del funicular y la biblioteca. Posteriormente el segundo nivel conecta el estacionamiento con el primer nivel del recorrido semiprivado del centro cultural, en este nivel se encuentra el vestíbulo, los salones, el gimnasio y el auditorio, todo interconectados por áreas verdes y

La Escuela Montessori MONTVA que se encuentra sobre la Carretera Nacional, busca ser un espacio seguro para los niños, proporcionando un ambiente natural e interactivo en el cual se desarrollen sus conocimientos y habilidades no solo por medio del programa escolar pero también por la arquitectura implementada en el complejo. Este desarrollo busca enfrentarse ante necesidades de los usuarios por medio de una fachada reactiva con sensores de movimiento, de tal manera que incentiva a los niños a tener curiosidad por su alrededor al mismo tiempo que forman parte del diseño y fachada de su misma escuela The Montessori School MONTVA, located at the Carretera Nacional, intends to be a safe space for children, providing a natural and interactive environment in which they will be able to develop their abilities not just through the school programme but also through the architecture within the complex. This establishment seeks to stand up to the necessities of the people though an interactive facade with motion sensors, this way, children will develop curiosity towards their surroundings all the while being part of the design and facade of their own school

Se pretende que el espacio sea un lugar de aprendizaje interactivo para los niños, por lo tanto, además del envolvente responsivo, por medio de módulos que rotan por medio de sensores que reaccionan al movimiento interno del edificio, se contemplaron espacios al aire libre, como la terraza anteriormente mencionada en el espacio de la biblioteca y una granja en la parte posterior del complejo. Se aprovechan pasillos exteriores en la planta baja y una serie de jardines y espacios para que los alumnos puedan pasar tiempo en el exterior, viendo como forman parte del diseño de su escuela a diario. The whole complex intends to be a learning sanctuary, interactive for children, therefor, besides the rotating modules (working through a mechanism of motion sensors), green areas and spaces were contemplated, like a terrace besides the library and a farm in the backyard of the complex. There are outer hallways in the lower level, along with wide gardens and general spaces so students can spend some time in the exterior of the complex.

CENTRO DE SALUD Y BIENESTAR CULTURAL HEALTH AND CULTURAL WELLNESS CENTER
El Centro de Salud y Bienestar Cultural, se encuentra sobre la Carretera Nacional, entre la zona de comercio de Esfera y Serena, y el Hospital Christus Muguerza. Se seleccionó este sitio con el propósito de brindar una nueva tipología arquitectónica a la zona de la carretera, donde claramente no existen precedentes de un proyecto parecido. Aprovechando las cualidades del entorno, se proporciona un ambiente natural y con vegetación densa a lo largo del lado sureste del predio, y se propone un paisajismo que se enfoca en el bienestar de los usuarios. La forma del complejo, nace a partir del diseño de un cuerpo de agua que atraviesa el predio, aprovechando la colindancia del arroyo, esto con la finalidad de tener un espacio más sereno a lo largo de los edificios, que surgen a partir de este espejo de agua. Se pretende crear una serie de ambientes que se logra interconectar por dentro y fuera de los edificios, creando consecuentemente subespacios con posibilidad de abrirse a nuevos parámetros de espacialidad, todo esto gracias al uso del acero en el complejo. Complejo dirigido a: la educación, la ecología, áreas deportivas y de desarrollo físico, salud mental y emocional, mente sana (que va ligado al concepto de salud previamente mencionado), y alimentación. The Health and Cultural Wellbeing Center is located on the Carretera Nacional, between the “Esfera” and “Serena” shopping area and the Christus Muguerza Hospital. This site was selected with the purpose of providing a new architectural typology to the highway area, where clearly there are no precedents for a similar project. Taking advantage of the qualities of the environment, a natural environment with dense vegetation is provided along the southeast of the property, and a landscaping is proposed that focuses on the well-being of the users. The shape of the complex is born from the design of a body of water that crosses the property, taking advantage of the border of the stream, this in order to have a more serene space along the buildings, which emerge from this mirror of water. The aim is to create a series of environments that can be interconnected inside and outside the buildings, consequently creating subspaces with the possibility of opening up to new spatial parameters, all thanks to the use of steel in the complex. Complex aimed at: education, ecology, sports and physical development areas, mental and emotional health, healthy mind (which is linked to the aforementioned health concept), and healthy eating.

Se potencializa el uso de suelo de la zona, viendo a futuro para la urbanización de la zona de la Carretera Nacional en Monterrey, Nuevo León. Se encuentra dentro de una zona residencial, lo cual proporciona una circulación de personas constante. Se aprovechan las cualidades del entorno, proporcionando un ambiente natural y proponiendo un paisajismo que se enfoque en el bienestar de los usuarios.

The use of land in the area is enhanced, looking to the future for the urbanization of the area of the National Highway in Monterrey, Nuevo León. It is located within a residential area, which provides a constant circulation of people.The qualities of the environment are taken advantage of, providing a natural environment and proposing a landscaping that focuses on the well-being of the users.
Buscamos crear una serie de ambientes que se puedan conectar desde el exterior de los edificios, creando subespacios con posibilidad de abrirse a nuevos parámetros de espacialidad, incentivado por el uso del acero. Se trata de una especie de “esqueleto” con una fracturación de la forma de un árbol. Al tomar como pauta la geometría de un árbol, se pretende darle estabilidad al edificio por medio de estas estructuras que cubren en su totalidad el edificio, como envolvente, al mismo tiempo que le dan un soporte. We seek to create a series of environments that can be connected from outside the buildings, creating subspaces with the possibility of opening up to new spatial parameters, encouraged by the use of steel. It is a kind of "skeleton" with a fracture in the shape of a tree. By taking the geometry of a tree as a guideline, it is intended to give stability to the building through these structures that cover the entire building, as an envelope, at the same time that they give it support.

Buscamos crear una serie de ambientes que se puedan conectar desde el exterior de los edificios, creando subespacios con posibilidad de abrirse a nuevos parámetros de espacialidad, incentivado por el uso del acero. Se trata de una especie de “esqueleto” con una fracturación de la forma de un árbol. Al tomar como pauta la geometría de un árbol, se pretende darle estabilidad al edificio por medio de estas estructuras que cubren en su totalidad el edificio, como envolvente, al mismo tiempo que le dan un soporte. Las diagonales distribuidas en la geometrización de las ramas del árbol proveen una distribución de cargas en el edificio. Cada fachada está estratégicamente diseñada para mostrar la estructura y envolvente que recorre todo el largo y ancho del los edificios. Estas geometrías irregulares representan los árboles que se ven en la zona seleccionada, de cierta forma abstrayéndose para brindar soporte y rigidez. Asimismo, bajo diferentes condiciones de cargas se distribuyen las fuerzas en la estructura del edificio. The diagonals distributed in the geometrization of the branches of the tree provide a distribution of loads in the building. Each facade is strategically designed to show the structure and envelope that runs the length and width of the buildings. These irregular geometries represent the trees seen in the selected area, somehow abstracting themselves to provide support and rigidity. Also, under different load conditions, forces are distributed in the building structure.

UNIÓN DE CRISTALES Se proponen cristal templado como doble fachada, con dimensiones de 1.80m x 2.00m. Todos estos serán unidos por las llamadas “arañas”, las cuales son cruces de metal que conectan los sistemas por medio de un “barreno” al centro. Los extremos de las cruces tienen soportes que reciben los tornillos de fijación que se unen al cristal y se conectan a un soporte elástico. MÓDULOS DE ACERO Columnas de 4 placas independientes cortadas con equipo láser o plasma. Se utilizara soldadura E 7018, electrodo de ⅛” aplicado según diseño. Posteriormente, se colocaran dos capas de pintura anticorrosiva para retocar el acabado. UNIÓN DE MÓDULOS DE ACERO Y CRISTALERÍA Se propone utilizar arañas estructurales de punta para la unión entre el envolvente y los cristales, con una separación entre el envolvente y cristal de 8 cm *Se sujetan mínimo 2 cristales por módulo de “araña”. FIRME Y MÓDULOS DE ACERO Se propone el uso de “grouts” como placa base entre tronco y firme, este se utiliza como concreto ultra resistente para rellenar anclajes. Dimensiones de varillas según diseño. Anclas de 1.2m de longitud vertical CRYSTAL UNION Glass is proposed as a double façade, with dimensions of 1.80m x 2.00m.
