LAST NIGHT Last night we were at Aldo’s party, it was awesome because it was his birthday. He was very busy so he couldn’t talk to us. We were very angry, so I screamed: “Aldo, come here right now”, but he was at the dance floor with many pretty young ladies. And later, he answered: “I can’t go wait a second, this party is on fire”. Later, we were tired and bored so we leaf the party. The end

MY STAR Many years ago I was very happy, because all the day I was with my friend Star. She was a special person, she was able to make smile to anyone. Star was a one of my favorite people because when I was with her I was like really am. Together we were not boring always we were smiling. One of my favorite times with her was when we were lost in Zacatecas and it was so fun because we were tired and hungry. I remember the time when she was in Jerez and we were not able to find Raul`s home until two hours after. I can not say with words how much I appreciate she be in my life because she is my star and my friend. I can say that I very happy even. Valeria Medina GarcĂa

CAN – CAN’T It is when a person has an ability or skill LETTER Hi mom ! Yesterday my sister and I were able to fly to Sacramento, it is interesting because we are traveling and knowing tourist places. Last night we were at California State Railroad Museum, it was great because I am learning history at school Normal. Do not worry for us, we are staying in a hotel, it is elegant and expensive. I am excited because I am shopping all the time. We are happy and we can not wait anymore for see to our cousin because she is friendly and lovely. Right now we are driving to the Vanessa´s home, but I am nervous because the last time we were at her home, I was screaming because Vanessa´s dog can jump high. Now, we are driving to the hometown, we are listening and singing loud music, but we were hungry so we are eating chips and drinking sodas. Also I am playing videogames. We hope you are not angry and can forgive us. Valeria & Yaneli

TEXTS WHAT I DID TODAY!!

September, 12th. 2013 Go to the conference was interesting, because I understood many aspects about the general law. It started today, this are important for us because many aspects were modified and implemented, the principal are the evaluation, the feeding of children, school fees, school full time and self-management education. In the conference participated important persons as the director of the CNTE of Zacatecas, but what interested me was when they talked about the self-management education known to us as school privatization. This means that school officials will be responsible for managing the resources of the school, that is to say the resources that are destinated to the school will be sent directly to school and no to secretaries. I think that we have to know, understand and analyze the new general law, because we are teachers in training and we must know whether it benefits us or harms us. What I know is that we are facing a great challenge and we need to keep us informed. Valeria Medina GarcĂa

MY FIRST PRACTICE!! I knew that i was accepted in the Normal, I sincerely did not know which the way I had to take was. I knew that i would like to be teacher because I love the children but I did not know if that would make me really happy. So I decided to talk to my cousin recently graduated from the Normal, I asked her advice about going or not. Maricruz said I really would know if I was doing the right thing in my first practice, it is the experience that defines everything. I thought that it was much time I had to wait but time passes quickly, now just will wait a week for my first practice as a teacher in training. I never imagined all that entails practice. From last week the course's coordinator asked us many things: such as the badgers for children and the distinctive poster for classroom.

MOVIE FAMILY MAN “The most important thing is that someone is waiting at home” Valeria Medina García The movie "family man" makes me think of the true meaning of life, sometimes we forget the most important things and we only focus on goals like having a lot of money, a good job, eat food in fancy restaurants or buy us everything we want. The protagonist of the movie has met all these goals, but this doesn´t mean that he has a successful life because it has no case when you're alone and you haven´t someone waiting for you at home. Not even have a home. Neither the luxuries, nor all the money in the world can be compared with the value of a family, because it's the only thing we can be sure. Really I liked to know of Jack's life, that he stopped being

an

egoist

and

senselessly

he

become

a

real

father

independently of everything complicated to be.

“It is never too much late” Also I want to speak about the incorrect decisions that we take along our lives, like to lose to a great love. But like Jack it did it it is possible to recover this special person because it is never too much late.

LIKE A DREAM The appointment to come out on Wednesday at 11pm. After 10 hours we arrived at the hotel, this was just two streets from downtown. Fast leave all bags in bedrooms because the date to go to the Site Museum of Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico was at 12:00 pm , the tour was certainly very interesting , I really feel that I ignored important aspects of our ancestors. For example the significance of the Mexicas gave the snake was important, they thought it represented humility because this always dragging but‌ Why the national emblem has an eagle devouring a snake? Unfortunately representation was created by the Spaniards when they conquered this land, the

Spaniards

arriving

viewed

many

representations of snakes everywhere and as they believed it was a thing of the devil question of

religion

changed

the

symbolic

representation of our lands. Now my problem is ... How do I will again feel proud of my national emblem if it was a way to humiliate my ancestors? Never really was a snake devoured by an eagle was an eagle that supported the symbol of the source of water and fire, which resembled a scarf. Other information that made me sad was when the guide mentioned that name us Mexicans is another humiliation by the Spaniards. This way of naming us arises because our ancestors refused to new religions that way: MEXICA, NO. After that the conquerors mistreated, beaten and punished our Mexica.

I am proud to be Mexican but the question I ask myself is: How long will continue to be humiliated by others if they have always done? Then, we walked around the historic center of the city, knowing the National Government Palace, the Zocalo, the museum displaying the 50 photographs that changed the life of National Geographic and the Palace of Bellas Artes. At 2:00 pm back to the hotel because we had to moving to the National Pedagogical University, that we had an appointment for a conference with Dr. Belinda Arteaga. From the talk with the doctor and I learned a lot of information that I ignored I understood the different paradigms of History, I speak mainly of positivism and the Annales School. Positivism is presented in the traditionalist school where knowledge is learned mechanically and the Annales School, knowledge is constructed from interpretation. I really liked the talk with the doctor because she answered many of my

questions,

for

example: What paradigms do we have to take to the teaching of History today? Can I take the good from each of the paradigms? She answered that it was possible, using the eclectic idea is the best.

Another of its recommendations, which I'm sure will help me a lot to teach History. Must I select a type of history (for example: cultural, economic, gender, etc.) to work any content. Definitely a smart woman, who only shows security herself. I believe that I had never had the opportunity to listen to a person with both cultural knowledge. An example to follow. We returned to the hotel at night, my friends and I just went out to dinner and then rest because it was a day that left us exhausted. The next day we visited the Palace Lecumberri, where is located the National Historical Archive. We travel to each of the galleries but it was not what we expected because we all just begun to interact with documents. It was not possible because we had no license to do. It was interesting because the building has the structure of a prison. Later we moved to the Secretary of Public Education. Shiddartha Camargo there waiting for us. A conference that kept me interested at all time. He started explaining why we need to change the teaching of History, Is not even because it has not a teaching strategy to learn. His

proposal

is

to

use

concepts of first order and second order concepts. Also he gave us an example of teaching sequence with the use of an image, working with all the concepts of second order. What I liked most was when Pablo Alexis identified an error in his teaching sequence. He showed him that the Normalistas also have much to contribute.

Following the conference we decided to move to the Castle of Chapultepec. I seemed to be the nicest place I've ever been. Although I had very little time to tour I loved every aspect of this building. The gardens are beautiful, the city views are incredible,

and

each

monument

is

exceptional. I take back all the time necessary to know every part of it. Newly, we returned to the hotel, we rested a bit and went out for dinner. On Saturday morning we left the hotel we already packing to move to Tenochtitlan. More fulfilled a dream. I wanted to check this place out. Upon arrival we hired a tour guide named Candido. He took care to explain every part of the place, it was very interesting to know the history of that site. Although it was too tired. We walked from the pyramid of the sun, the moon pyramid to pyramid Quetzalcoatl. An important fact is that it is wrong to name them "pyramids" it is correct name is "basamientos" is because they do not end up in beak. Tenochtitlan means place where energy, its main deity was not the sun if the water deity "Tlaloc". One thing that discouraged me was when Candido mention that 85% of the buildings was rebuilt by an anthropologist from long ago. I honestly did not recognize the real buildings.

Knowing this place was magical, is an obligation that all Mexicans should do: know Tenochtitlan.

I think the trip to MĂŠxico was like a dream, are the moments with special people that make life meaningful and more if they are the magical places.
