Chapter​ ​18:​ ​page​ ​103 Jerry​ ​is​ ​experiencing​ ​a​ ​HUGE​ ​Man​ ​vs.​ ​Self​ ​conflict​ ​after continuing​ ​to​ ​reject​ ​the​ ​chocolates.

Explain​ ​what​ ​you​ ​understand​ ​about​ ​Jerry’s​ ​thoughts​ ​in​ ​this chapter.

Jerry​ ​have​ ​some​ ​struggles​ ​thinking​ ​why​ ​he​ ​rejected​ ​the chocolates​ ​when​ ​he​ ​knew​ ​he​ ​will​ ​just​ ​cause​ ​more​ ​problems​ ​to​ ​him and​ ​Brother​ ​Leon.​ ​Over​ ​and​ ​over​ ​thinking​ ​he​ ​finally​ ​got​ ​into​ ​a result​ ​that​ ​he​ ​rejected​ ​the​ ​chocolates​ ​because​ ​he​ ​is​ ​not​ ​agree with​ ​the​ ​idea​ ​of​ ​Brother​ ​Leon​ ​manipulating​ ​the​ ​students,​ ​ ​so​ ​Jerry wants​ ​to​ ​stand​ ​up​ ​and​ ​fight​ ​for​ ​what​ ​is​ ​fair.

Why​ ​is​ ​Goober​ ​so​ ​concerned?

The​ ​students​ ​are​ ​proud​ ​of​ ​Jerry`s​ ​actitud​ ​to​ ​think​ ​about​ ​something really​ ​simple​ ​but​ ​effective.​ ​Jerry​ ​appreciates​ ​being​ ​that​ ​important but​ ​also​ ​is​ ​scared​ ​of​ ​what​ ​is​ ​coming​ ​next.​ ​Goober​ ​is​ ​concerned

because​ ​he​ ​asked​ ​Jerry​ ​why​ ​is​ ​he​ ​rejecting​ ​the​ ​chocolates​ ​if​ ​the assignment​ ​is​ ​over.​ ​Jerry​ ​told​ ​him​ ​is​ ​not​ ​more​ ​about​ ​the​ ​Vigils now​ ​is​ ​about​ ​him,​ ​Goober​ ​could​ ​see​ ​how​ ​famous​ ​Jerry​ ​is​ ​getting for​ ​rejecting​ ​the​ ​chocolates​ ​and​ ​is​ ​feeling​ ​ ​little​ ​jealous.

Jerry​ ​has​ ​a​ ​poster​ ​in​ ​his​ ​locker​ ​that​ ​says​ ​“Do​ ​I​ ​Dare​ ​Disturb​ ​the Universe?”​ ​For​ ​Jerry,​ ​he​ ​is​ ​disturbing​ ​the​ ​universe​ ​by​ ​standing​ ​up to​ ​Brother​ ​Leon​ ​and​ ​rejecting​ ​the​ ​chocolates.

I​ ​think​ ​I​ ​could​ ​disturb​ ​the​ ​universe​ ​by​ ​refusing​ ​ ​something​ ​my parents​ ​told​ ​me​ ​to​ ​do​ ​about​ ​my​ ​future.

Explain​ ​how​ ​Obie​ ​is​ ​feeling​ ​about​ ​Archie​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Vigils​ ​as described​ ​in​ ​these​ ​pages.

Beside​ ​Archie​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Vigils​ ​Obie​ ​feels​ ​weak​ ​and​ ​scared​ ​even though​ ​they​ ​are​ ​his​ ​friends​ ​he​ ​is​ ​to​ ​scared​ ​to​ ​stand​ ​up​ ​against them​ ​and​ ​don't​ ​feel​ ​excluded​ ​anymore.
