MINDS. MOMENTUM. MISSION.

THE CAMPAIGN FOR TU’S TOMORROW

This is TU’s

MOMENT.

For more than 130 years, The University of Tulsa has been a proving ground for the best and brightest minds — providing a launchpad for lives of promise and a catalyst for community.

Anchored in our history and reaching for tomorrow, we set our focus on the heart of our university: Our students.

In the campaign for TU’s tomorrow, we are investing in the minds that shape our future, giving them the momentum to excel and empowering them to pursue a mission that matters.

Higher education is facing unprecedented headwinds, from demographic shifts to changes in funding. The answer, as always, lies in students. Their curiosity, creativity and critical thinking will be the spark that lights the way and carries us forward.

TU is ready for it .

With this campaign, we will:

Invest in students through life-changing scholarships. Shape futures through critical learning experiences outside the classroom.

Empower our accomplished faculty to teach, mentor and drive discovery.

Reimagine campus spaces to catalyze collaboration and community.

Elevate Tulsa as a beacon for innovation and investment.

This is an inflection point.

“Because of the Presidential Scholarship, my parents don’t have to worry about helping me through college — and my brothers have more opportunities to chase their dreams, too.”
Isabelle

One gift. Many futures.

The critical scholarship that Isabelle Fite received is easing the economic burden to her family, but it’s also helping the recent Goldwater Scholar drive her studies forward. “I’ve been able to focus on my classes as they’ve gotten harder and harder, without having to add on a part-time job,” she says. And as Isabelle pushes the edges of known physics, she’s also sharing her findings in quantum field theory and general relativity. “I traveled to California to present my research over spring break,” she says. “My scholarship made that possible.”

FOR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

We will empower bright minds.

Together we will support access for the brightest prospects from all backgrounds, bridging divides, opening doors and putting a TU education in reach of the hardest-working and most deserving scholars.

“Home. That’s how I’d define TU. It’s a place that’s small so that students can be big.”
Emma Keevy
ECONOMICS MAJOR, MINORING IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Experience acquired.

For Emma Keevy, TU represented broader horizons. “Before I came to Tulsa, my world was school work and home,” she says. And before she even arrived on campus, a Jumpstart TU trip to Panama took her well beyond Tulsa. Since then she’s studied biology in France and economics in China. The global impact on Emma has been real. “My mindset has shifted dramatically,” she says. “Now the world is my oyster.”

FOR STUDENT EXPERIENCES

We will create experiences that teach.

By funding athletics, global study, internships and extracurricular opportunities, and by creating learning experiences in the field, we will complete the education equation with real-world learning well beyond the classroom.

“It’s challenging work, but my mentors guide me through the process. It’s a lot of hands-on learning as well, in a more practical setting. You get to learn more outside the classroom.”
Brian Yang

Fostering discovery.

As Brian Yang got deeper into his biochemistry studies at TU, he made a discovery: It’s easy to make genuine connections with his professors. “Whereas it’s hard to do in other schools, especially in undergrad,” Brian says about his research opportunities, “here I can get an almost graduate-level experience.” Working closely first with Professor Angus Lamar, and now under Professor Robert Sheaff’s mentorship, Brian is positioned to make true breakthroughs: “We’re screening compounds on cells to see if they have any anti-inflammatory or anti-cancer effects.” These are opportunities and potential outcomes — that Brian might find only at TU.

FOR OUR WORK

We will unleash discovery. To power leading-edge learning and discovery, we will invest in and amplify the talents of our exceptional faculty, empowering them to open up new avenues of innovation while deepening the profound impact they have on our students.

“The clinical teaching spaces are identical to the real world. I know I’ll be ready for my patients.”

Spaces that work.

Kekoa Castanares lives in Hawaii and is earning his B.S.N. online at UTulsa. But he’s no stranger to campus. “Prior to starting clinicals, we did skills verification in person,” he says. “Intense as it was, I enjoyed Tulsa.” And campus is only getting better. With significant improvements coming, including upgrades to lab spaces and refurbished housing, Kekoa has plenty to look forward to on future visits. “I could see myself living here,” he says, “and that’s coming from a guy who lives in Hawaii.”

FOR OUR CAMPUS

We will build for community.

To create, elevate and add life to beloved spaces, we will reimagine and realize our facilities in ways that drive connection, inspire collaboration and foster community across every aspect of campus.

Critical updates for modern labs and new technology for pre-med and engineering spaces

Refurbishment of some of the most loved residence halls Athletics practice facility Potential expansion of the arts building

“TU is setting up students to pursue full-time careers in Tulsa’s artistic industries, and without having to move out of our state, they’ll boost our city.”
Natalie Dankert
ALUMNA (B.A. ’22, B.S.B.A. ’22) AND MANAGER OF THE TULSA OFFICE OF FILM, MUSIC, ARTS AND CULTURE

Singing Tulsa’s praises.

Natalie Dankert grew up near TU. “When I was maybe 12, the first concert I saw was at Skelly Field,” she says. “And I thought, ‘This is so cool. I want to go to school here.’”

That seemed out of reach for her family, but a full-ride scholarship made it possible. Now, building on her experiences in the university’s Arts, Culture and Entertainment program, Natalie is deeply invested in Tulsa’s future.

FOR OUR TULSA

We will invest in our hometown. To strengthen the engine that drives our city to national prominence, we will fuel the continuous rise of our alma mater and our hometown. We will bolster its reputation as a place of fearless reinvention and as a beacon of commerce, culture and industry.

This campaign will transform the future for TU by making an unmatched commitment to students.

Together, we will invest in bold minds that are empowered to solve for a brighter tomorrow.

We will ignite the momentum that drives discovery, enriches learning and creates leaders of profound vision and curiosity.

And we will fuel a mission that transforms industries and shapes a stronger, more resilient TU of tomorrow.
