Symbolic name plates mounted on the wall of fame, which bear the names, ranks, and categories of licensure examinations, can be viewed just beside the hallway connecting the CICM and Theophile Verbist building.

Earlier this year, Engr. Labrador and Engr. Verbo placed first and eighth in the May 2022 Civil Engineer Licensure

Examination, respectively, whereas Engr. Acuña ranked tenth during the September 2022 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination. Engr. Ochoa came in third for the October 2022 Electronics Technician Licensure Exam and eighth for the October 2022 Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination.
To date, USL has produced 73 topnotchers, with nine (9) of them achieving first place in various licensure exams.

Malawi enjoys USL’s donation
@JONATHAN SANGDAAN JR.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Chisankwa, Malawi, one of the beneficiaries of USL’s mission drive collection, is now enjoying the sewing machines given by the University. Cash was transferred to the organizer, who then purchased 20 sewing machines for Malawi.

In a letter issued by the Project Coordinator, Fr. Yogkim Kirang Ritan, CICM, he wrote that the sewing machines had touched the lives of the people in Chisankhwa, Malawi.
He said that the majority of the recipients launched their own tailoring businessw and began making money and profit from them. This is just one of the many relevant projects funded through the USL’s mission drive collection.

Ms. Khimza Cabanlong, SSC President, and Mr. Curt John Mejia, CICM Scholars President, also showed appreciation to CICM missionaries through heartfelt messages.
After the messages, Louisian talents were shown off once again in front of many as the different departments prepared talents for intermission.
Simultaneously, Mr. Marc Joseph Mangulabnan and Whoopi Leyne Nolasco, SSC Azalea Officers, sang a song as the students gave a token of appreciation to the CICM fathers, brothers, and relatives of other CICM missionaries who attended the event.
Fr. Couvreur, who spoke in Iloko, inspired everyone to carry the torch lit by the pioneers of CICM.
“As a CICM school, this mission is for you to continue the legacy of the CICM pioneers,” he said.
The celebration was attended by Rev. Fr. John Couvreur, CICM, Parish Priest of the Diocese of Ilagan, Brother John, a Missionary from Taiwan, Bro. Ferdinand Marcos, Relatives of CICM Missionaries: Bishop Edgar Gacutan, Rev. Fr. Armando, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Taguinod, CICM.
The event concluded by singing the CICM song, “One Heart, One Soul.” USLWB
