The team traveled to the partner communities at Sitio Raniag, Liwan Enrile, San Antonio, Enrile, and Sitio Damortis, Solana.
The Pre-service teachers tirelessly rendered academic support to the Daycare pupils in assessing their educational needs. They used an assessment tool measuring pupils’ cognitive, affective, and physical competencies. As they observed, they engaged the children in different activities to measure all competencies. The result of the needs assessment shall be the basis for developing and implementing an instructional plan for future teaching tutorials.
Project TEACHER aims to provide educational support through mass instructions and one-on-one tutoring to improve daycare pupils’ early learning achievement among various domains. The project provides a venue for holistic educational reformation that benefits both the program implementers and clients. Through the program, the teachers and students will broaden and deepen their understanding of content and pedagogy. At the same time, the clients are provided with additional opportunities for total development.
Moreover, the said project is part of their Service-Learning Program, which serves as a training ground for the Pre-service teachers as they are given a chance to teach children from different walks of life. USLWB
