As a student, Amy interned with Arrow Capital, a student-run VC fund that invests in Berkeley affiliated start-ups, Salesforce, Eventbrite and Blend. She's now putting those internship skills to work full-time as a Product Manager at Subject, an educational start-up.

Aerospace Engineering (AE)

Obtain skills to emerge as a leader in the rapidly advancing era of aerospace technologies, encompassing sustainable aviation, autonomous flight, and space exploration.

Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS)

Explore the fundamentals of computer science and electrical engineering, while taking courses in subjects such as finance, competitive strategy, and leadership.

Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Delve into topics from robotics to energy science, control systems design to biomaterials, as well as coursework in macroeconomics and marketing.

Select M.E.T. Engineering

Undeclared + Business to explore one of the six M.E.T. engineering options your first year. This major is only available to freshman applicants.

MechE & Business, '22

Civil Engineering (CE)

Learn to develop engineering solutions to societal-scale challenges that are reliable, resilient, and sustainable. CE is the intersection of data structures and natural environments.

Materials Science & Engineering (MSE)

Develop a fundamental understanding of materials from the nano to macro scales while gaining computational skills and business acumen.

Admission Options

There are two pathways to apply to M.E.T., as an incoming Freshman or a Berkeley Engineering Continuing Student in an M.E.T. engineering track junior year

While in M.E.T., Kai conducted research on energy storage solutions with the Berkeley National Lab. He also interned with Bloom Energy summer '19 and SpaceX summer '21 and is now working full-time at SpaceX.
