Course contents The study plan covers the general education that any Bachelor’s degree is required to teach by law. This is an advantage for students aiming to enter the teaching labour market. A good general grounding in History will enhance the academic background required for teachers in preuniversity teaching. However, the general training is no hindrance to students being able to take a range of subjects structured in tracks as part of the proposed structure of the Bachelor’s degree, and is no obstacle to the specialisation required by law in postgraduate courses, which involves a more intense and in-depth knowledge of certain aspects of historical issues. Students in the Bachelor’s Degree of History have at the end of this degree the opportunity to specialise in a specific field within historical studies, which they have had the opportunity to discover during the teaching of the obligatory and basic subjects in the first three years of the Bachelor’s Degree. As a result, History graduates obtain training that provides them with the best teaching environment and with the optimum skills to take subsequent courses and to work professionally.
