Type of Degree
Students should have an interest in aspects related to how the economy operates in economic policies and the economic agents intervening in society. Students should also have an aptitude for mathematics and statistics, and a capacity for analysis and synthesis. An aptitude for understanding abstract ideas, good communication skills, the ability for creative thought, a sociable outlook and an expansive view of the world and its social and political interactions are also desirable.
This is an officially recognised University Degree, valid throughout the European Higher Education Area.

Access to Higher Degree programmes Students who have obtained the Degree in Economics may continue their officially recognised studies by taking a Master’s and Doctoral Degree course. The University of Alcalá offers various officially recognised Master’s Degree programmes (lasting either 1 or 2 years), oriented either to professional practice, adapted to the needs of the market, or to academic activity, leading to a Doctorate.
