Type of Degree
The Environmental Sciences bring together diverse areas of knowledge which share a common denominator: the environment. This multidisciplinary approach requires students to have a good education in the experimental sciences, together with a basic understanding of the social sciences.
This is an officially recognised University Degree, valid throughout the European Higher Education Area.

Career opportunities The wide range of subjects which comprise this degree course endow the graduate in Environmental Sciences with an enormous capacity for analysis and synthesis, providing a global overview of environmental problems and the correct path to take in order resolve them. The following career opportunities are particularly relevant: environmental impact assessment and consultancy, public sector environmental management, environmental quality management systems, environmental auditing, environmental management, environmental technology and environmental training and education.

All the above activities are carried out in a wide range of economic sectors and are present in all spheres of society, including local, regional, national and European community government, environmental consultancy and auditing companies, industry, energy, transport, construction and civil works, educational centres and non-governmental organisations.
