Mother’s Day mums picking up after others
We know many of our mums spend much of their time picking up after their children most of the year round, but some of our Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) mums got to go around picking up after other people this Mother’s Day, as part of a clean-up in and around Umagico last weekend. They joined students and teachers from NPA State College who pitched in with the Umagico community and local rangers last weekend for the Alau Beach Cleanup. In the picture, visiting teacher David Tran from Beenleigh (left) collecting bags of beach rubbish from Ben Peter Creek with students Moira Ingui (2nd left) and her Mum, Tara Cowley, and Amy Pablo (right).
Pic supplied. We have more beach clean-up pics, and the full story, inside on PAGES 8 & 9 and more Mother’s Day coverage on PAGES 3 & 7 N
