Thursday Island – PUBLIC NOTICE Ferry Carpark Reseal Works Notification Ports North wishes to advise that a two-coat bitumen reseal will be undertaken by Pioneer North QLD at the ferry carpark on Sunday 6th August. The carpark will be closed from 5pm Saturday 5th August and request that all vehicles are removed from site prior to the closure. Any vehicles left on site may need to be towed to allow works to proceed. During the works pedestrian access to the wharf is available from the footpath with coaches utilising the bus stop on Victoria Parade. Loose stones can be an annoyance after the seal has been placed, however this is an important part of the reseal process. It allows traffic movement to roll the loose stone in as the bitumen hardens. Line marking will be reinstated by RoadTek at a later date. For further enquiries please email: scott.ivory@portsnorth.com.au
