2023 Island of Origin a win for all Mabuiag team Goemu Bau Raiders fought their way through the finals series to win over plucky Dauan side Roxin Eagles
in the 2023 Island of Origin on Badu last weekend. Undefeated local team Kayin Koasals defeated Rosehill/
Waiben team Pioneer Dames in an entertaining finals finish for the women (pictured). The Raiders’ 40 points in the
final was the highest score by any team across the three-day weekend that saw nine men’s and three women’s sides play out a round-
robin series and finals.
